Excellent in all the most important ways. The environments were designed really well and were very immersive. The horror elements and enemies were excellently conceived and realized. This is an example of cosmic horror done right.

The best part to me though was the voice acting and the story. It felt like a playable lovecraft novel--not just in theme but in the narrative presentation and story told.

If you like cosmic horror I strongly recommend you get this game.

I enjoyed the core concept and visual style but didn't feel like the game ended up really going anywhere. Even with such a short game it started to feel repetitive and lost its challenge after the first hour. After an initial difficulty ramp it just leveled off and became "match the two clues to the description with those two elements" over and over again. The spooky elements were initially intriguing but failed to escalate into actual horror or even consistent folk-creepiness. By the last hour I was rapidly guessing the answers because there simply wasn't much of a reason for me to care whether I got some or all of them right since it made no difference to what happened.

I was expecting something fun and silly. Wandersong is so much more than that.

This game is awesome! Fun and smooth gameplay, very discoverable crafting system, nice challenge without too much micromanagement, an an Intuitive UI to boot. Can't wait to see how they continue to evolve it!
