I'm recommending the game, because it runs well and I didn't experience any issues (rare in 2018 with a game made in 2012 on the PC). It's not a hard recommendation, but if it's reasonably-priced it may be worth picking up if you're into Batman.

Slightly too repetitive to start the game, and the objective tracking + open world combination takes you off the beaten path quickly, not in a good way. Once you make it beyond the belltower bomb explosion (first 45 minutes of the game), the confusing open world aspect kicks-in.

I think the combat, upgrades, etc could be interesting if you can make sense of the game enough to get there.

I may try to push through the game in the future. Afterall, it's Batman.

The game was probably better in 2009, but in 2018 without a frame of reference on the original game it's not worth picking up. I'm a huge Star Wars fan, and I wouldn't recommend this game to someone unless they have some attachment to the original game.

The retro look and feel is solid, the space-theme is nifty, the items and abilities are fun and most importantly you can dig holes in the ocean floor and watch it flood caverns full of annoying creatures that try to harm you. Also there's lava and penguins with machine guns, so you can check that box off.

Far Cry 3 was excellent. The story was good, but you didn't have to rush it.. you could tool around in the open world and do whatever. Solid graphics, Far Cry gameplay.... just an enjoyable game overall.

Play this game on a console, this PC port is pure garbage.

Save often. Use hotkeys.

Does the idea of designing tight loops and ensuring proper synchronization for pseudo-chemistry-based processes, as an engineer within the space-chemical-industrial complex, get you out of bed?

How about an unhealthy fixation on leaderboards?

If the answer to either of the above was a resounding, "Sweet gentle Jesus, yes!" -- then play SpaceChem!

This game is like driving through Eastern New Mexico, with guns -- The Hills Have Guns. Play it. Don't drive through Eastern New Mexico.

'Dull' is an understatement. Playing Half-Life: Blue Shift is like napping with your eyes open, minus the actual benefits of taking a nap.
