After 10.5 hours, i finally 100%ed the demo, using as little outside resources as I could. I really enjoy this game wholeheartedly, its got a lot of charm, atmosphere, and originality. The movement is extremely tight and responsive, and it plays very well with the level design.

It personally didn't take me long to get used to the movement, but it did take a while for me to get a read on the level design and how its paced. Most places are vertical towers paced with small bursts of precise platforming where you have to read the room and concoct a string of inputs to make it to the next area.

At first I had a problem about how few shortcut checkpoints there were, but for me retreading old segments were super quick, as I already knew the movement needed to get there. I think the amount of checkpoints in places like the 'Ruined Ruins' are just right.

My only real question is if fish and coins have a major purpose in the final game. The rewards for all gauntlets regardless of difficulty being a fish or a few coins is fine for a big collector like me, but I think without proper incentive people will have trouble being motivated to challenge themselves like that.

Other than that, this game easily has instant classic potential, and I hope it gets the recognition it deserves.

Early Access Review
Balances horror, suspense, goal setting, greed, team communication, and mystery perfectly with corporate cynicism undertones. Phenomenal game, my only fear is that future updates might delude its strengths, its nearly perfect how it is right now.

Take stalker, remove everything that made its survival and item management interactions interesting, and replace it with a Minecraft Factions pvp system, complete with a premium service and buyable starter packs.

This game is stalker in Aesthetic and Setting only. Loot is given by tedious quest reward, not scavenging or taking risks.

Im just disappointed. It takes a lot to already rip so many assets and elements from a beloved shooter and then make it mediocre.

This game is an absolute train wreck and a conglomeration of recycled E3 assets halfway through. The singular good thing about this game is that the inhibitors system is a good idea, and combat is more intricate. Everything else is either a step down from Dying Light 1, or is just a mess. Legit the last 1/3rd of the game is just so many back to back nonsense scenarios, characters being introduced just to die 5 minutes after their introduction, and random characters appearing out of nowhere, having some sort of shamylan twist just for that to be ignored immediately afterward. The game is rife with bugs, and ideas and scenarios that were abandoned halfway through completion and give the game a sense of inconsequence which is very ironic given the "your choices matter" premice.

As jaded as I might seem, I think im being honest. I went in hopeful at the start, thinking it was a "give and take" in the middle, then just completely dumbfounded by the end. This game is a testament of crunch culture.

This game is a masterpiece, straight up. Its visuals, mechanics, optimization, immersion, story, art direction, everything. All masterclass. This game gives you an experience well worth the wait and its price. This is the work that defines the industry.
