Agreeing with most of the other reviews here. Had quite a lot of fun. Probably not for everyone, but it's a beautiful game with a beautiful story. The notes and information gathered throughout the game, had me researching and reading up on a few things I didn't know about as well, which was pretty awesome. The food just made me hungry... The demons/enemies can become quite repetitive, and once you have the hang of things it's quite easy to kill them. Also, because I was achievement hunting and going for all the spirits, I managed to skill out to max, so, wasn't much effort in killing them at that point. I guess majority of the time I was just walking around looking at everything.

For those wishing to get all the achievements, I felt this needs to be mentioned before you attempt them:

1. Get the summon Tengu skill as soon as you can, it helps a lot to get to those spirits on higher locations.
2. Collect all the spirits before Chapter 4. You can't collect them after.
3. Don't avoid the Hyakki Yako/ Demon Parade. They might be difficult at first, but once completed, they drop spirits that you will need. I saw someone else mention this in the reviews as well. I had to run around endlessly at the end, praying for them to show up at specific locations... So, yes.
4. Check the phone booths/ pay phones when you're dropping off those spirits, they usually have voice logs in them.
5. There's an audio log in Chapter 5. Do not miss it. You can't go back for it.

But, all round fun game. Although I wish you could pet the cats.

Catan is an amazing board game, and perhaps the full version of the online Catan is better, but for those downloading it for the free version, in my opinion, it isn't worth it. Could only invite 2 other friends to play with, you have to register an account before playing a custom game and after all of that the game would skip a player, randomly freeze and sometimes not even show that a players' turn has passed. All four of us who installed it, ended up uninstalling it right after.

I have however, watched other people play on the full, bought version, and they were having a lot of fun, but as I said, my experience on the free version wasn't great.

Early Access Review
I opened the door. The air around me was cold. I saw my reflection in the glass. Quit.

That was the training map.

I was running around with a roll of toilet paper on my head when someone came out of nowhere and killed me, then reported my body and pretended that they didn't just stab me through the face.

Fun game if you enjoy not trusting your friends, lying and panicking.

Don't Starve Together is one of my most favourite games to play on Steam. When I started playing, I preferred to just play the game; learning as I go without looking at gameplays or tutorials. I played Don't Starve first before trying out DST. So, that was a good way of just learning the game on my own. I also bought the game for two others, and recommended it to quite a few who joined in later. Playing with a group of friends can be really fun, but I didn't find it difficult to play on my own.

With each new game, I discovered new characters and new ways of surviving. There's never been a game that I didn't learn something new or discover a strange creature down in the cave. Each season bringing in new animals, from Volt Goats to screaming Mandrakes. My reactions are always something like: "Whaaaat, the statue comes alive at full moon?! Didn't know that."

I've played with a lot of mods as well, mostly the ones I find helpful like:
- Minimap
- Global Positions
- Combined Status
- Increased Stack Size
- Show Nicknames

There's also mods to change or add new characters. My favourite characters being Crash Bandicoot, Daisy the Pig and Waenerys. There's also a great mod named 'Come Back Chest!' which I thought was pretty funny. A Chest with tiny legs running away from you... I mean, come on.

I love everything about the game, the style, the music, exploring the different areas; caves, swamps, deserts, islands... I love how creative the players are in creating mods, but also the video clips that's been created of the different characters.

This is a really fun game to play with friends or on your own. Just be prepared to get trampled by robot-looking rhinos, eaten by hungry dogs and devoured by the shadows during the night time. And if that doesn't get you, the scorching rays from the summer sun will. Have fun.
