If I counted correctly, this one's already the 4th title in these Kingdom Rush series and I expected this concept to be pretty run down by now.
But hell, it is by far the best one, as they turn out to even get better with every publication.

The gameplay is extremely approachable and the levels keep highly replayable over several rounds.
Their backdrops are peppered with lots of popcultural references, so even off track you are entertained at its finest.

An exceptional gem in the Crafts of Tower Defense.

Like any other microtransaction grinding game it is at first fun to play, but this one aggressively demands for real currency on any occasion.
While It describes itself as a "shop owner game" the crafting and vending is pretty soon overshadowed by grinding components to progress. And as you therefore have to equip, level and send raiding partys on quests, the original shop owner concept falls back behind some repetitive and dull rpg mechanic.

Despite coming about 15 years too late, this title wants to be something like Warcraft 3, but even succumbs to Warcraft 2 mechanics.
The pathfinding alone is a nuisance.

I wanted to give this game a second chance and had to learn, that even the devs did not. They abandoned their game.

Sitting in Corona-Isolation in 2020 while playing Shardlight having Green Lung.

Ich musste durchweg lachen. Gut, dass das Spiel nicht allzu lang ist.

Played it back then, play it still.
