Those ~30 hours you see of me playing Wilds? I’d say about 90% of that was me just staring at that cursed screen loading shaders, not even playing it. The 10% of the time that I WAS in the game was absolutely atrocious on my 4070ti Super, both with and without DLSS.

By the way, mandatory DLSS for “recommended” settings, recommended being 1080P AND 60 FPS ON MEDIUM (on a 2060 Super) with DLSS is absolutely D I S G U S T I N G. My 4070ti Super calls disgusting bs on this. The performance is so disgustingly horrendous that I’d rather hug a Khezu 3x a day for a week and risk possible electric shock. If you know what a Khezu is, you probably understand why I threw up while writing this.

I also have a RX 9070XT. I had no plans to even bother trying it with Wilds, but one day I gave it a try, went to do some chores, came back, saw the same shaders bs as before, and noped out.

I’d rather spar with my homie Nergigante in MH Worlds back when it came out initially buggy as hell on PC. My old GTX 1080 (with corresponding older PC parts from back then) handled World pretty well when it was in its “mixed” review stage back then. I remember multiplayer issues, but I certainly didn’t recall struggling graphically to THIS extent.

I’d rather play MH Freedom 2 on my old PSP (including trying to figure out where in tarnation it is and if it even works, then pay to replace any parts that I need to) and further contribute to my future arthritis with the tried and true *claw grip*.

I’d try it on my Steam Deck just for the lols, but my Deck is way beyond the warranty and I don’t feel like paying money to repair it when one of the parts fries itself to stop the torture and spare the other parts from a fate worse than trying to run Wilds in 2025.

Capcom still hasn’t fixed Dragon’s Dogma 2 from last year lmao I got zero faith in them going forward if they let Wilds release like this. Even the shareholders are questioning Capcom like “wth”. I don’t do reviews for games much aside from once like 8 years ago, but I wanted to join in with the rest of the negative reviews since they ruined one of my favorite franchises of all time.

I own the Rockstar game copy, not the Steam copy so my hours listed aren't right.

Anyway, with such an overwhelming amount of negative reviews in such a short time, anyone reading this most likely knows why there's such backlash so I'm not going to rant about all the details when other people have done so for me. So long as this decision stands to pretty much ban mods, I'm done with GTA V but at least I'll be getting 140 GB back (two copies, one vanilla and one modded).
