many technical issues and poor optimization.(better after recent patch)
the combat/movement mechanics are very good. open world design seems a little off and disorienting.

TL;DR: if you want to try a monster hunter game, try world or rise first.

i bought a new pc just to play this game. i can play it on mid graphics and it looks and performs worse than MH Rise or World. this is the biggest problem though it is not the only problem.

the mount just autowalks everywhere. i still don't know the maps. which is sad, since the world is designed lovely.

there is very few usable slopes or walls to run up and jump from.

no glider mantle!!! i know the mount can glide but that is almost never necessary. a huge waste of potential.

you see all the monsters all the time, your chat gets spammed NONSTOP with some event shenanigans("mosnter x will soon lieave the map" and so on). when you look for a weapon to craft your chat will have 10 chat messages. none of them from people but just this pointless messages.

there is no easy way to farm low rank components. you will need to start the missions you allready did again for that. and you need lots of them for talisman upgrades.


there is LOTS of positive stuff i would really love to talk more about. but as of now the game is unenjoyable for me and i cant get any of my friends to play it.

AFTER RECENT UPDATE: The jank is mostly gone, performance is smooth, difficulty a bit up again but its fine. very enjoyable. if you want to speedrun the campaign on HC you should look up/prepare a good build for that.


There are some jank, stability, and balance issues, but otherwise, this game is very fun.

For any build-craft enthusiast, this is a gem, just like its predecessor.

Right now, this game is somewhat difficult if you don’t know what you’re doing, but I’m really enjoying the challenge so far.

for melee players almost perfect

very funny, fun and addictive!

pls fix performance. it did not work super well on my system before but it was in the 40-60 fps range at worst.
