It takes forever to start up, but if you spend a lot of money and time on your computer and peripherals, it's almost worth it. The new and improved world of MSFS 2024 is much better for helicopter and low level flying than MSFS 2020. However, VR sucks in both titles. If you want to do VR, you'll need a very fast computer, and lots of tweaking, and even then, it might not be great and the world will not look good (until you get high end graphics cards and CPUs. DCS has vastly superior VR flight experience because the worlds are simpler, and they are much more optomized. The community-made free helicopters like the UH-60L mod and the OH-6/MD-500 mod would cost $50-70 normally. You can also get a very advanced UH-60M glass cockpit experience in Aerofly FS 4. I would highly recommend it after you fly the UH-60L in DCS. The experience in that aircraft is very advanced and awesome. But the world looks like crap compared to DCS and very crappy compared to MSFS 2020/2024. I think in 10 years, flying in VR will be amazing. 5 years ago, it was amazing, but the games got harder for high-end computers to run. Either way, MSFS 2024 is definitely something you should have in your library, if you can stand the long loading times, and if you are willing to invest time and money in peripherals and training. Once you do that, it's all worth it. And the time and money you spend on computer/peripherals/training will pay off in any sim you use. I know it sounds like I'm on the fence, but I really enjoy this title, especially with the very strong community support that exists.

I didn't like this game as much as the original AC (with mods). But after I got my 488 wheel and load cell pedals, it transformed the game. The FFB is so nice, even on my T300RS base. Now that I have the 488 wheel, it's opened up a lot of in-car tuning options like TC2, engine map, and ABS settings, that I used to ignore. It's made the cars much more interactive. Again, the force feedback is so subtle in places, it's weird in VR. Also, the setting VR High works really well for me with a 2080 ti and Valve Index. I could probably up the graphics even more with some more experimentation. Overall, this game is awesome with all of the DLC. I do wish you could do a few more immersive things like opening the doors, hood and trunk while on track. But the better headlights and in-car animations make up for that. I do miss the F5 camera for ease of use. But the F7 camera is OK once you look up all of the keys you need to memorize on how to use it. Overall, this is a great game with great graphics for VR.

This is one of the most fun games I've played in VR. It's challenging while at the same time relaxing. The devs are open to ideas and suggestions and modding, which means this game has a strong future. Once you master the game, it can be a lot of fun replaying older missions. I also recently discovered hidden content that you can unlock which changes the look of the cockpit and adds cool accessories like an air freshener which reactions to G forces and floats around in zero G when you are still. Very cool detail. Overall, I highly recommend this to anyone who likes VR, likes space, and likes a fun challenge.

This is a great game. Even my wife who doesn't like games much watched me playing and got really nervous. On the main climb, I ended up climbing the tower just for fun and then the game told me to jump across to the main mountain which I did and then fell off of. So I healed up and climbed again and this time I made it. I think holding Ctrl to automatically sprint isn't as good as the more traditional Shift W for running. Oh, I played with keyboard and mouse and it was great. I'll try using a controller next time. This seems like a game that's really good for replay-ability. I liked the tent stuff, though I think it could be more interactive, like you place each item into the stove with your hands same as climbing. But I'm sure the full game will have more to it. I really liked seeing my route once I reached the summit. The colors and detail make it feel like simulation level detail with the measurements. I think I would like to review it more, but I figure the full game will let you do that. Anyway, I can't wait for this to come out. It's already a great game. I think the art style is cool. I would like to remove the chromatic aberation or whatever is reducing the quality of the visuals. The game defaults to a resolution higher than my monitor supports, not sure why. That might just be my NVidia settings, not the game. Anyway, I'm looking forward to playing this again. Great job Game Bakers.

10/10 I would recommend. I was playing this for about 2 hours with the sound off and then I turned on the sound and it's even better. I was able to recreate my house ILR in about 20 minutes adding little details to it after that. So much fun and very relaxing. The first scene I created was the tower from Tangled.

I first saw this when Jeff Faviagno was playing it on YouTube with a few other people. The gameplay was pretty funny because they all took it not too seriously. But he also explained the background of the game and the mechanics of the game and it's deeper than you think. The fire spreads realistically and you have to use your brain as much as brute force to solve some of the fires. I like the details. The driving is pretty sketchy. But the trucks are pretty detailed and it's fun to interact with them. I find it to be pretty relaxing to go out to fires, save lives and put out fires sometimes when I'm playing in singleplayer. I would recommend.

Now that Multithreading is a thing, it's very smooth in VR. The free UH-60L mod is awesome if you like helos. There are a lot of huge maps to fly on and overall the realism in the flight models is really good.

So far I've just played for a few minutes and it's incredible. I'm playing on an ultrawide monitor and it works fine. I changed the FOV to +5 and it's much better. The shader building took about 40 minutes the first time I played so I just watched YouTube until it was done. I love the realtime interface and ability to look at maps and clippings. Very cool. I've never played this game before as I never had a Playstation. But I watched a playthrough a few years ago and always considered buying a PS just to play this game. Glad it finally came to Steam. The shaders are amazing with character reflections in glass and cool volumetric mold effects in the air. And, of course, the story is incredible. I was crying in the first few min even though I knew what was coming. The interface is very clever and fun.

Early Access Review
It's pretty sweet with lots of different play modes to keep it interesting. For me, the best modes are training against CPU using sticks. Then you can play for a really long time against the same opponent.

It's pretty bad. I played the "Astronaut" mode since I've done a lot of VR microgravity simulations. This doesn't feel real in any way because it forces you onto a specific path. Instead of letting you go wherever, any arm inputs result in you going along a specific rail. Sucks. Also, despite having a tether, it plays no part in your movement. It doesn't save you during the "accident" and doesn't require you to move it or use additional tethers as you go along the pre-determined path. The hand angle doesn't match the controller hand angle on the Valve Index. After the accident, you area allowed to use a MMU to get back to the ISS, but the controls don't make sense. I was able to pilot back to the ISS and to a hand hold, but I couldn't grab the handhold because it wasn't in the script. Very annoying. And despite not using the MMU non-stop, I still ran out of fuel when I was not operating it. So it's just a countdown timer.

If you want a much much better ISS microgravity experience, check out Mission: ISS on Oculus. You can use it with ReVive. It's definitely worth checking out. You can explore most of the ISS interior (except the Russian segments) and you can operate the Canadarm and go on spacewalks all over the ISS with no restrictions.
