Hands down one of the best games of the genre, and well worth full price, let alone a sale price.

Updates and support have continue to roll out over the years, and with mods (or friends) its even better.

This version of the trilogy is in no way perfect from a surface level, and I have yet to fully sink my time into a proper playthrough of all three games. That said, everything being in a single package for the price it currently is, with even the changes they made, are more than I would have expected for a rerelease of ME1-3.

I hope updates continue to come and fix certain aspects, and mods end up getting made to cater to those who aren't fully on board with certain changes, but overall this is easily the easiest and cheapest way to get the trilogy on PC.

I am bad at reviews so here is just a quick thing. I wish I liked this game. Please note I played a couple more hours or so while offline so it is not reflected on my playtime.

Pros:
+The concept behind the game is fun and cute (y'know, the clouds and block types).

Cons:
-Not a fan of the overly cute aesthetic.
-Puzzles reset upon failed attempt, and the camera is also reset, making some puzzles just frustrating.
-Physics seems to give you different results when using the same solution.
-Ran terribly for me, at about 45fps normally for some reason while "cutscenes" chugged at a slow motion 23~ish fps
-"cutscenes" on some levels play each time you retry the level
-made me just want to play a better puzzle game

I'm honestly sorry I can't recommend this game.

While this might not be the game for everyone, it's surely a fun casual experience. And as a more casual gamer myself, I'd consider this a must buy at even the regular price of $10. And while I do consider it a casual experience, it does have a score and leadboard focus as well as daily levels and the like.

It's definitely a decent buy for those who like to do things with their hands and eyes while discussing politics in skype calls. Trust me.

So, at this point I don't consider myself all that great at writing reviews, but regardless, here we go.

This game, in my humble opinion, is a good deal of fun. It's something I occasionally turn on while in a skype call or listening to a podcast that is legitimately a fun and entertaining experience. And while this is good, at the same time, I can see why it may fall from recommended to unrecommended depending on the person.

I do not see this game as holding quite the candle to a good stealth game, nor is it too terribly amazing at the Rogue-like part. The randomly generated levels are surely a draw, but at the same time, it will occasionally craft explicitly unfair floors or challenge floors for you to play. Many times, during completing challenges, I would simply have to either get killed or restart because it would start with AI looking right at me, or with the items I would desperately need obnoxiously far away. And while that is not always such a drawback (as it is rather good when you beat a floor against all odds) it does make the challenges the game is packed with a bit more luck based than one might hope.

Other than that, the AI may occasionally seem a bit unfair, seeing you when you are behind things; having odd and sometimes broken paths around objects and rooms; and the rare but equally annoying points where the sentry bots always seem to miss unless you are low in health, where they hit with 100% accuracy.

I will say some of these things have frustrated me, but at the same time, I would still recommend this game. I found it to be a good distraction for the time I played it, and will continue to pick it up to resume my attempts at getting all the achievements and completing those pesky challeges.

I found this game to be rather nice up until the final level. It had a few bumps in the road, with targetting messing up, and some points in levels saving weirdly.. but it ultimately had be entertained for several hours.

The last level is annoying though.

This game is likely one of my guilty pleasures. I know people tend to hate the 'new' Resident Evils, but I happen to really like them.

Prior to playing it on PC, I played it at least a 100 hours on Xbox, going through everything to get a 100% complete rating and all the achievments. Sadly, the appeal of those things are.. well.. gone, with this version.

Sure, it was a fun run through but the lack of friends actually owning this port left me playing by myself. Which is good, but not nearly as fun as with someone else. That, and this version lacks the DLC all together. Two missions with new characters, new outfits, new challenges, and new filters, are all gone, the menu they used to be in still actually present in the game like it should've been there.

To keep it short, I recommend you get it for cheap with a friend and play it through; it's still a great game despite allk the hate.

[Update] I wrote this review several months ago, and as of that point, the DLC has become available. I don't recommend buying it for the price it's at as it is an old DLC set for full price for a game no one really liked, but if it ever goes on sale along with the game, it's worth a playthrough for sure.

An exceedingly pleasant game that actually made me feel for a few boxes.

Played a good portion of the story and have found that this game is pretty sweet. I've never played the past games, and this seems like an excellent introduction to the series.

My only complaint would be that sometimes the AI acts a bit wonky and some of the "you can't do this with your current gear" paths just make it so you have to retrace your steps several times to get secrets. OH, and that the costumes don't show the damage to Lara. So you get moments where she's wincing at a hole in her arm, but has a perfectly clean sleeve over it so you have no idea what she's freaking out about. Otherwise its a great game that should totally be picked up.

8/10
