A very nicely made game with a shed ton of content and hours of gameplay. The graphics are nice, the tank models are quite detailed and a joy to take apart and put back together again, though they could always do with adding even more parts to them. The shooting range, once unlocked, is great fun and has great sounds of the guns when you fire them. The developers are very active and listen to their community and are constantly updating the game (there's already been over 100 updates pumped into this game and they just keep coming).

On the flip side, the devs could definitely try to re-work the driving range, as the hill is too steep for most of the tanks and can only be scaled by very few vehicles in the game. Some of the terrain in the range could also do with some more smoothing, as currently it can impale some tanks and glue them to spots.

Overall though I highly recommend this game to anyone looking at restoring old WW2 tanks and actually driving and shooting with them.

I quite like this game as it is very relaxing and fun to play, despite some small bugs that I've encountered in my play through. It kind of reminds me a bit of the Euro and American Truck simulators in terms of economy and how relaxing it is to play it.

It also makes me nostalgic for the days when I was a sailor ( and when I sailed in the bay of San Francisco back in 2011)...

This is an interesting take in an old game, but I refunded it.

The reason for refund is that the developers reversed the order in which cards are placed during the game. Normally you place a low score card at the bottom and then place a higher score card on top. in this game you have to place a low score card on a higher one, which to me just feels wrong. On top of that this reversal feels artificial to me, like the devs wanted to make the game more challenging for the sake of making it more challenging and nothing else...

Hi,

I am a complete noob at this game, having purchased it only 3 days ago. I played it for 20 hours so far and I need to take a break from it. Here are the reasons why I am not recommending this game in the current state it is in:

1. God awful, broken match making. I played as rank 18 killer and survivor and was frequently facing off against players with purple perks and several ranks and levels above me. Nevermind the fact that playing as killer I had to wait up to 10 minutes sometimes to get a match, while as a survivor I would get a match within a couple of minutes.

2. Toxic as hell players. Even when trying to play nice as a killer (not tunneling on purpose, not camping at all) still got called trash killer and people suggesting that I should never play this game and immediately uninstall it.

3. Some of the maps in this game are absolutely trash for both survivor and killer gameplay. I am referring to the Asylum and the Yamaoka Estate maps specifically. Honestly, they are too small, cramped with foliage that gets in the way and obstacles that you can get stuck on while chasing/being chased.

I have revised the review somewhat as I've played the game a bit more, since the last time I reviewed it. While the points above are still true i have come to realise that you as player need to prioritise the parts of the game you enjoy over the parts that are quite broken. Once you do that, the game becomes quite fun to play.

2nd review revision: It's been 5 years now since I got this game and I am finally beginning to enjoy it. As I mentioned earlier, you have to find those sides of the game that you enjoy, in order to have fun.

For me, if I concentrate on just playing this game for fun, rather than purely to farm points and progress various characters, then the game becomes great. So, after all these years, I am finally changing the status of this review to recommended...

Hi,

First off, big thanks to the developers for attempting something different for a change. I definitely enjoyed the gameplay mechanics, the HQ location and the ability to look around the HQ site, while listening to the radio for my platoons responses. The graphics are pretty good and the atmosphere of the game is quite nicely done.

The reason I do not recommend this game at the moment is one design choice the devs made that killed the game off for me and made me refund the game. In my second mission I lost the Alpha squad to enemy attacks and even though i still had Bravo squad at almost full capacity, the game displayed a message telling me that I lost Alpha and then kicked me back to mission select screen.

So in a war game, where I would expect to suffer casualties, I apparently cannot afford to loose a single squad to enemy fire, 'cause if I do, it is basicaly game over.

Nevermind the fact that Alpha squad was battle hardened, as I made them take on the enemy single handedly in the first mission. Somehow after being engaged by the enemy in the second mission, Alpha, all of a sudden, could not hit the broadside of a barn and got wiped out by inferior enemy numbers to a man...

I enjoyed this game a lot! It has a great story, beautiful graphics, great sound and a wonderful atmosphere that made me feel quite nostalgic (especially for the 80s). Played and completed this game at least 5 times, despite the fact that it is a walking simulator and not a military shooter or an RPG which I normally play.

Can't wait to see what the developers of this game will create next!
