Thanks AH for negotiating with Sony and making it possible to play with my friends again.

I am not recommending this game despite it being fun because of two major reasons:

The game has very bad frame drops when around in cities or areas with lots of enemies. This is an issue with the game that has been recognized by the developers. They said that they are working on a fix for it but before the fix releases the game is near unplayable in some areas.

There is no FOV slider, so you are stuck with a very narrow FOV which makes it hard to see enemies on the sides and it also takes away from the beautiful landscape that this game has. Furthermore it can also induce motion sickness combined with the frequent fps drops. You can alleviate this somewhat by changing the camera distance in the options. But it doesn't move the camera back far enough either. There is a mod on Nexusmods that can make your FOV wider but I should not have to resort to modding for such a basic feature.

Here are some more smaller reasons why I'm not recommending the game to anyone:

It's a singleplayer game, not multiplayer or live service, so it really should not have MTX. I know you can earn it all in game too but if that's the case why sell it in the first place? It's a full priced game, this just leaves a sour taste.

Edit: Lmao at that "Research bonuses for new nations" once you've reached top tier. Very generous. I'll be generous too by editing my negative review of the game with it.

It's good.

This is an early access game, it's missing content and keeps crashing.

A good crpg just like their last title Kingmaker.
