Put this one for the labor of love award. It did start with some problems, especially on the performance side of things, but the constant updates solved all my initial problems and brought free content and some needed quality of life improvements

A pretty good souls like game in my opinion.

Nominated this one for a couple of steam awards. For those that liked the Zeno Clash series it is in the same universe and equally good if not better in my opinion. Fantastic visuals and soundtrack and a unique experience as always for the series.

For the price point it is in it was a must buy at launch and after playing it I can say I don't have any regrets.

The only con I can mention is that the performance could be better.
I would also advise anyone interested in buying it to see gameplay videos since the art style and the gameplay of the game are unique but not for everyone I would guess.

Yes, it's good. Still think Dark Souls has the best level/dungeon design but this one is another kind of beast being open worldish... Masterfully crafted world as usual.

Pretty sweet game. Maybe a bit short but totally worth it.

First of all I like all the titles of this franchise including the third one despite its flaws.
This one is a solid entry in the series without the flaws of the third one and follows the earlier formula pretty well.
If you liked the first two games you will most likely like this one.

A good entry in the darksiders franchise in my opinion.

It departs quite a bit from the previous one in terms of combat and progression but it still feels a darksiders game and deserves a not great but better overall review rating.
As others said it also hasn't the scope of the earlier entry since it mostly takes place in a post-apocalyptic earth but that isn't necessarily bad. Also some puzzle mechanics can be a bit far-fetched.

It is like Hitman™ a bit refined and more expansive. If you liked the first one you will like this one.
Not perfect but with plenty of variety all around.
The performance could be better but perfectly playable even through steam play (Proton 3.7-8).

I'm writing this "negative" review as a warning for those wanting subtitles with original audio (English 5.1 audio). It simply isn't there.

Don't understand the logic behind the decision but access to subtitles only appears by choosing non original audio. When choosing original audio no access to subtitles selection is given. It shows on audio track as "English with English subtitles" and in captions as "English (Set by Audio Track)" and it only works for non English dialogue. I'm not against that but it baffles me that this is the only choice. As such I can't say that this has working captions.

This is not a review of the series since I'm told that it is a good series but given the subtitles situation I've yet to see it. It simply does not have the "English (CC)" caption option, or any other, for original audio.

Pretty good story in this one. Great characters and good enough/interesting combat. A good upgrade over Zestiria.
