The game deliberately creates FOMO by introducing DLCs that are only available for purchase for a limited time. The Trade Ships - Bonus Pack is no longer obtainable by new players in any way, which makes it impossible for newcomers to access the full game content.

Early Access Review
Current state of PoE2: 48% of players are using a single skill - Lightning Spear. Think about it: half of the player base relies on ONE skill in a game with HUNDREDS of options. And why? As Mathil put it, the mechanic of most skills feels like: “You’re f*cking 50% more asses if you’ve been f*cked in the ass in the last 10 seconds.” Just drop this nonsense.
