I hate the "pay to win" mechanics of RD2:Online, its success (and the success of GT5:Online) are likely direcly delaying any further games from being released from the developers.

However, the single player game is near flawless. 9.9/10. The only real complaint I can thing of is every now and then I will have a minor graphical bug or error. But its rare and very minor usually. A other complaint, that isn't a real complaint, is you can't play this with a potato, and its a large file. Don't download this if your using a limited internet plan.

Game had a poor release. Years later now, and its still very buggy. Its clearly been abandonded by developers. It is fun if you got it for $.99 on sale, enough to waste an afternoon (4-ish hours). After that it just becomes tedious and buggy to continue, never approaching the end of the game.

3/10

Game was so enticing during the early days, could have been great. Abandonded by the developers, and just plain not fun.

So I did figure out how to get the free copy of the MMO after owning this game, MMO is utterly trash btw.

This game is quite fun, frustrating but fun. There is an pretty good construction/crafting mode. Its very harsh on grind though. Like, dozens of hours to build simple ♥♥♥♥. Easy to be camped by high level players, with zero recourse. The only problem is, similar to Ark, the map is either overcrowded and already built up, or totally empty. There never seems to be a middle ground. Your either with the one big guild/crew or your on your own getting killed by them.

6/10 for the first day or two of playing, 2/10 for anything after 48hrs

Paid Mods = bad

Fantastic game, reputation forever tainted by greed.

Game is 8/10, Greed is 1/10.

A seemingly well thought out Turn-Based strategy game with a quality story campaign. Build your viking noble, customize his retinue, fortify and develop his fief, raid Britain.

The game is hard. Some choices can damn you if you choose the wrong path in conversations (Losing a valuble companion or ally for an upcoming battle). Combat itself is quite balanced, though tactics are far more important than gear.

The viking theme is quite well implemented, with only a few things being blatantly historically inaccurate. Village Life in general is just short of tediousness (Running from corner to corner in Ribe, for example), but is quick enough to get past it.

All in all, a good game so far!

I've played this game non-stop since I bought it. It really is fantastic for a Early Release. It is also one of the first Rust-esq games that I have played that didn't have constant ganking and complete lack of trust in your fellow players (People randomly drop goods and dinos for new players on lots of servers, minimal griefers). Gameplay feels great, survival very detailed, crafting can be actually fun (no 200 hours grinding one mythical ingredient). The Dinos really can scare the hell out of you when a raptor runs through the undergrowth while your just picking berries. Developers are always coming out with new Dinos, Buildings, etc.

Downsides are mostly on optimization, it needs a high-end PC to look a pretty as the videos. However, they have 'Low Memory' 'Extremely Low Memory' etc. options to get the game running fast so you can enjoy it.

Currently, worth $30 considering how fun it is. Once finished (They are on track with their development schedual), it sould be easliy worth the $60 bucks new games cost.

Potentially great, with plenty of nostalgia smoosched in.

However, buggy as all get up. Regularly having to micromanage simple automated tasks because of path errors. Regularly have to restart a level because of things failing to trigger. Just gets frustrating.

What can I say? This game is fun.

Best graphics? Hell no.
Best Story? Definately not.
Best immersion? Maybe so.
Best fun? Its still got 'it'.

Its along the same nostalgic lines of Mario, Pacman, or Grand Theft Auto III. Classic games, that will always be enjoyable for a few minutes or a few hours. Well Pacman wouldn't be very fun for hours, but I digress....

Definatly check it out.
