The primary reason for negative reviews was the PSN account linking being mandatory.
This has been resolved since that they are not making this mandatory, so rest easy if you still see reviews being negative.

That out of the way, this is a great game where you play a soldier in humanity's bright future united under a single "Super Earth" and you fight alien robots, bugs (and hopefully much more soon) in a story that's being driven by the community and is constantly evolving.
Think of it like a sort of galactic D&D where we move the story forward by shooting things and throwing (far too heavy) explosives at things we don't like.

The community is (mostly) amazing, the gameplay surprisingly engaging and there's about the best battle pass system out there currently (it doesn't expire! no more FOMO because you can't play).

Seriously, go spread some managed democracy
