This is a VIVE review

I have a "Love Hate Love" relationship sandwich with this game. Where it shines, it is bright and wonderful and a VR utopia. Where it fails, I want to smash my controllers into a billion pieces.

I don't want to take forever writing this, but the game is incredibly beautiful and whimsical. The amount of animations and scenarios the devs thought about in regards to player interaction with the mouse is inspiring. The set-pieces throughout range from good to audible "wow"s.

The problem for me is the controls are very frustrating. 3D platforming in VR isn't much better than 3D platforming in a FPS. Luckily the game is very forgiving and lots of checkpoints don't mar this too much. It was during a weighty encounter with a bunch of enemies that the controller would stop responding, or I'd be mid sword swing so I couldn't jump out of the way when enemies killed me. I died maybe a dozen times to pass this encounter and it almost cost me a new pair of Vive controllers to do so. So I'm not sure if the difficulty ramped to hard too quick, or is beauty overtook tight controls, but it sucked pretty bad, and I would imagine would block a few people from continuing.

Overall though the game is lovely, and I highly recommend it - just be aware the controls for the Vive get a while of getting used to.

Early Access Review
I may change my reccomendation later, but as of right now, there is not a lot to this game.
- No campaign
- No unlockables

Feels closer to a $5 arcade experience. Fun with friends for a couple rounds but that is it. There are much better ball rolling games (SwitchBall, Ballance) and there are better party race games (Distance).

The controls are good and I like the concept, but I'd like to see a bit more to the abilities or have power-ups of the ball and a bit more content. Heck, even if the content that currently exists was gated at least I'd want to try and unlock alt colors and stuff. Is it a bad game? Not by a longshot. I had fun, I just don't recommend it yet.

One of my favorite GearVR, Go, and Vive experiences. It is a lot of fun to see basically a VR version of "The Size of Our World". For an early access title, its still a lot of fun.

As a fan of the OG Titans of space on 3DOF systems, I was a little disappointed it is basically the same experience and tour as its counterpart, but was delighted to see some bonus extras I don't remember from the original like the occasional slingshot and side-by-side modes that pop up.

Devs:
-Would really like to see some audio sliders to turn down the music a few ticks. Don't want it off, but it varies in volume and gets distracting.
-Some of the menu options have tiny hitboxes that make it easy to mis-select.

Did you like Jezzball from the Windows Entertainment Pack in Win '95? This is a lot like that with some fun changes. Dirt cheap and a lot of fun. Easy to pick up and play a few rounds!

Lacks interesting story, and progression becomes overly difficult quickly.

A fun, short platforming experience memorable for its use of "screen wrapping" to see what I mean you'll really have to just see for yourself. If you're a puzzle platformer junkie like me, there's no reason not to get this and burn some time. Really looking forward to see what these guys do next.

Man, this runs like garbage. It just isn't fun. Buggy, headache inducing... this is not a fun way to introduce anyone to the VR space.

EDIT: I have a GTX 780 and I've not experienced this bad of an experience in any other professional demo or game.

Wanted to like this game. Pretty looking, solid art direction. Puzzles just get too hard and too fast. Looks cutesy, but I can't really reccomend this to anyone as most people I show it to get bored/stuck around level 3 or 4.

Most puzzles are solved by brute force trying every angle and maneuver possible until you complete it, thus not learning core concepts for the player to build off of as they play. First few levels are key fr this, and the puzzles skip a couple core learnings, or compact them into too few levels.
