I want to like this one.. The skills are fun for the most part and it has a traditional balance of Tank, Healer, DPS. It got boring rather quick and I will probably pick up and play at times with a casual atmospher.

Here's the issues:

• The constant stunlock from every blow.. every hit stuns you. It's more annoying than fun in PvP.
  
• The matchmaker is not skill based, its rank based and does a poor job of matching.
  
• The cataclysm system allows you to grab an item and essentially destroy the enemy base - it' feels very RNG and makes it feel less balanced. Great idea in theory, but just ruins a good match. It's OP on both offense and defense.
  
• Cash Shop - It has a free, regular and Premium battlepass and cash shop. Feels like they're milking it and it only adds to making it feel unbalanced.

Overall.. its just 'meh' and could be a lot better if it felt more balanced.

There was nothing fun about this.. cut scene after cut scene with 2D paper graphics and poor voice acting.

This feels like a complete cash grab from a mobile game.

This game has done a very good job of scratching an itch somewhere between a traditional JRPG, Heroes of M&M, and Panzer General.

If you enjoyed - Heroes of M&M, Panzer General, 8Bit RPGs, or just don't have time for a game that sucks up your life - you'll probably enjoy this one.


This mix has made for a variety in strategy and is one of the better games I've found on steam for it's price. It feels like an overall value and the developer is very active in the forums. This was clearly made by an avid gamer of the genre's who has a love for making this game.

The Good:

1) Lots of unit and item choices that you can use to your play style
2) The visuals are intriguing.. map transitions, art style - it all fits.
3) It has a bit of Rogue / Civ style replay-ability and that is enhanced by achievements - it's likely you'll play the story more than once.
4) Its not demanding!!! You can pick up and play without issue in a busy life!

The Bad:

1) Late Game - it gets to be a bit to manage 200 units. Some quality of life features would help here.
2) UX Design - Some of UX Choices feel a bit burdensome (I'm looking at you Organize Army screens) - they could be use some streamlining on the number clicks to get things done.
3) Difficulty Level - Even Warlord feels a bit easy when you learn the game, some options to customize difficulty would help with replay-ability for those who want a bit more challenge. (Permadeath makes a big difference, but it hurts to lose a beloved unit)

Overall - its a fun little game that will suck you in and waste a few hours of your life in the best of ways.

As a new player.. you get destroyed - not really fun as the matchmaking seems really broken.

This game was the slowest thing I've experienced.. table top was faster.

Why all the cut scenes, waiting.. blah blah frill? All I want to do is play a board game without the trash animations, stupid scenes and slow frill that detracts from the actual experience of playing the game.

This was a shocking surprise.. what a great little game so far...

This is an overland map much like Mount & Blade - but oh.. it's done so so well!!!

First.. the artwork is just beautiful with stylized graphics and lots of love has went into the map.. everything feels like it belongs. The towns and scene transitions are smooth.. well thought out and encourages the player to actually look at them, explore them.. interact with them!

Crating - Yes.. lots of it, armor etc.. its pretty much all crafted.

It's a bit of a Mount & Blade, Top Down, RTS.. Kinda 4x-ish.. All bundled in a beautiful world, interesting plotlines - unique mechanics.. Each region seems to have it's own issues that overlap mildly between regions.

Reputation matters.. there's a feeling of consequence to murdering a few hundred merchants. The character / troop evolution is nice.. much better than Mount & Blade - companions level up, get gear.. etc.. so your entire troop essentially feels more like the companions - this makes death a bitter sweet aspect.

Restart Battle?!? Restart at Town?!? --> The developers have added some nice touches with the convenience replays as many of mechanics are unique to the individual mob - so it does lead to a bit of save scumming, but the game encourages it.

Overall.. I'm excited for this one - it looks to be something quite unique in a very nice looking package.

This is a great little simulation game - lots of hours and tons of fun with it.

It does get boring, but the developer has been steadily adding features as it has grown closer to release.

Great game with an awesome story - overall classic

This one is a classic.. one of the best 4x space strategy games that I've ever played.

This is one that doesn't disappoint in variety, unique mission events, and detailed civilizations. I've definitely gotten my money's worth with this one.

I put it in the same category as the Civilization series, but with a space themed setting - the quality is on par.

Very fun little political simulator with an in depth cause and affect tree.
