The idea and concept for this game are interesting, but its rather complicated to do anything more than be fodder. You will need to understand the logistics supply chain of the game to really enjoy it - this is not going to be for everyone, but if you like the deployment aspect of PlanetSide meets Running with Rifles top down combat - you may have a winner.

It took 200 hours for this thing to grow on me enough to give it a positive review - but it is a fun game with the right group of people. I highly suggest joining a logistics guild and doing a hybrid system of combat & logistics - This game is won by logistics and it becomes painfully obvious when that part breaks down.

That being said.. if you have 2-3 friends who can join your squad then you will have an incredible amount of fun terrorizing the enemy backlines, building partisan bases, driving tanks, just wrecking Havoc in a SEAL Team kinda way.

Things I Liked:

1) Grand Strategy - you'll play across a large map that gives many options for strategy
2) Graphics / Gameworld - While a little cartoony, they were realistic to the period and looked good.
3) Overall Concept is interesting, but didn't hold my interest
4) Community & Gameplay are very good - lots of fun, not too serious but highly tactical.
5) Gameplay is slow at first then rockets into high gear when you get in a good squad - 3-4 people can enjoy this game with a stupid amount of fun..

Things I disliked:

1) Local Voice Chat - This is the same issue as Fallout 76.. Its too easy to troll local voice chat. I don't want to know the guy in the FoxHole next to me is fapping away on some porn. Yes - you can disable chat, but its vital to the game, meaning you endure the troll or play a different game.

2) Combat is slow.. you run from your spawn, grab some gear and wait.. wait.. wait.. Hoping someone runs into your line of fire. While realistic to how combat plays out, it wasn't that much fun.

3) Complex - This game is complex, very daunting. The issue I saw with the complexity was around the logistics system - you spend way too much time building / manufacturing items and not doing the fun parts of combat.

4) Top Down View - While I see what they were going for here with the top down view to help line of sight and add to the realism.. its not a fun control scheme, often feels clunky and sluggish.

**UPDATED**

I've tried to like this and the game mechanics are fun, but its just too trolly. Everyone steals your vehicles if its not locked down - constant China vs Russia vs US arguments.

Most of the matches are you moving supplies from point A to B - thats not fun.. just boring.

They should have called this game Cargo Simulator.j

I'm trying hard to give this one another chance.. However, the logistics and quality of life issues still exist.

I thought I would give another shot.. seems the extremists and political nutjobs run thick in this one.

Lots of racism and stupid remarks.. it feels like trash now. Playerbase was very low and every frontline seemed to have a warden griefing the colonials while saying some racist or just stupid remarks. The IQ level in this game has declined heavily :(

The shard balance issue is still a huge problem:

Charlie Shard = Wardens Win
Able Shard = Colonials Win
Baker = No Players?

This explains the issue the best as of the 1.0 Wars: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Yky4HOPxq0&ab_channel=MoiDawg
