While it was a bit of a struggle to try and find out why this game would crash all the time for me, just capping your FPS between 60-100 FPS seems to get the job done, you may still crash from time to time however. That and some fps drops during cutscenes are the only problems I ran into. Besides that, game runs flawlessly.

Its not fair to compare Origins to any AC games that came before, due to how different they are in nature, but this game has no right being this good. It easily ranks among the best AC games ever made, despite how different it may be to the previous entries. Egypt is genuinely an incredible map, probably the best one in all of the AC games, and not only is it fun to traverse and explore, but landmarks like Alexandria make you feel like you are inside of a painting. The story is very good too, this time we experience the creation of the Assassin brotherhood under the name of the hidden ones. Bayek is one of the most likable protagonists EVER in the entire franchise, and his character is further enhanced thanks to an incredible performance by voice actor Abubakar Salim. The rest of the characters are good too, but some of them just pop in and out of the story randomly which really doesn't help me care about them too much. Gameplay-wise, problems arise. Stealth and parkour have been butchered, it was a public execution. At least combat makes up for this in a way by being a lot more in depth than either stealth or parkour, but its a shame to see AC go further away from its roots. If you go into Origins expecting a good Assassin experience, forget it. What you WILL get is a very good, solid, exploration based action rpg.

DLCs are ok. Just like the base game The Hidden Ones and Curse of the Pharaohs are both set in breathtaking environments but all they really do is expand the story, not much else. More Bayek is a good excuse to me. Deluxe pack comes with a bonus mission, so does the season pass. Horus and Roman Centurion packs are all cosmetics.

9/10
