One of the best sandboxes for custom Star Wars battles right now. Also, weirdly enough, has some good TF2 content.

This game is ABSOLUTELY a must-buy for anyone who enjoys games like Risk of Rain or Binding of Isaac. The gameplay feels fluid and unique enough to distinguish it from "classic arcade space combat," and the basically infinite replayability makes it something you can always pick up and play for a life or two.

TL;DR amazing game, would recommend

Disregard however many hours you see on my profile - I'd estimate I have about 6000+ hours logged on this game.
I couldn't recommend this enough. Buy this game. It doesn't matter if you like or dislike video games, whether you're new to the gaming scene or a veteran of many consoles. This game is for you. Whenever I see that someone on my Friends List or one of my friends in real life is considering getting this game, I'll buy it for them, just so I know they'll try it. That's how dedicated I am to this game's success.

Call me crazy for being so obsessed with Terraria, but Andrew Spinks and the folks over at Re-Logic have done an absolutely spectacular job creating this universe over the years. While often simplistic, Terraria has complex elements in every aspect of gameplay.

Anyway. I'll stop rambling. Please, please, PLEASE buy this game.

As someone who's played almost 5000 hours on this game between this account and my main (Sunny), I can confidently say that, at its core, Team Fortress 2 is simply dumb fun. Comparable to watching an Adam Sandler or Dwayne Johnson flick that you know is going to be silly before you buy your movie ticket, TF2 does not take itself seriously. I couldn't tell you a single other game that has a hat economy on the same scale as this game, and for good reason. Any other game, with any other engine, would lack the same quality as Team Fortress 2, because it wasn't built from the ground up with the same core goofiness.

That fundamental "joke" factor is why things like the Meet Your Match update discouraged me so much. It felt like TF2 was losing its core values as a game that you could play with your friends on a night off, a way to escape from the daily struggles of living in the world that we do. I know the TFTeam is small right now. It probably won't get any bigger. But when Meet Your Match was released, you guys did not do yourselves any favors. Honestly, from an objective, non-nostalgic standpoint, the Quick Play system was simply better. Meet Your Match killed off community servers, which at a time were one of the most important parts of TF2's heart and soul. From an everyday player standpoint, the developers, by releasing Meet Your Match, completely disregarded one of this game's biggest draws.

Team Fortress 2 has not lasted for more than a decade because people really enjoy Dustbowl and Upward. Every FPS out there has its broken, silly maps like that. No, TF2's heart has kept beating for this long because of its uniqueness. I described earlier the hat economy that is completely different from every other game on the market. That's what TF2 is. It's silly, goofy, outright stupid at times, and that's fine. It's what makes it different from everything else.

TFTeam, the goal of Meet Your Match was to bring this wonderful game up to par with every other competitive FPS out there. What you didn't realize is that you didn't need to. TF2 is built on its standalone properties and uniqueness as a class-based shooter with a hat economy. I understand the "last resort" gesture to try to save the dying game, but everything has to end at some point. Only difference is, I'd have preferred it how it started. The same weird, unique game it was in the first place.
