Ok, so there seems to be incredibly mixed feelings about this product. I recommend this but only under a few very specific conditions that I will list below. To get started, it does actually reduce your ram usage, and depending on how much random crap you have open it can actually reduce a significant chunk of it, so if you are wondering whether or not this product works, it does. However, this program is not a miracle worker, and shouldn't be treated as such.

1) If you have 4gb ram or less. With this little ram, it isn't difficult to fill up with only a few small games and programs open. This isn't going to turn your PC into a super computer, but if you are experienceing slowdowns becuase you are maxing out your ram, this program could help lighten it up enough so that the programs open can work more efficiently (helped my crap surface run a few games that maximize ram). Don't try to run more than you otherwise would with this program, or else you will just run into the same issue. In conclusion, if you only need a marginal increase to keep the ram from maxing out and make what you NORMALLY do more fluid, but not necessarily to run more at once, then this program may help you.

2) If you are an INSANE multitasker. As I wrote above, the more crap you have open, the more ram it will be able to clear out for you. This means that you will see bigger removals with high amounts of ram than low amounts of ram if you have a lot open at once. Now we know that 16+ of ram is enough for the majority of people. However if you are a person that for some reason has a million things open at once (although I would honestly suggest you close some of it out when you are doing something ram heavy and avoid the purchase), it can help eliviate some of the stress to keep it from maximizing. Just like in condition 1 however, I would only do it to help keep things more fluid for your NORMAL use, not as something to allow even MORE tabs and programs open, or else again you will just run into your regular slowdowns as usual.

3) If you have a tablet, laptop, or other device that is difficult / nearly impossible to modify. I mostly got this for my Microsoft Surface which isn't designed to swap components, since it is basically a tablet with windows installed. Since I can't simply purchase more ram for it and swap it out, I have to rely on programs like this to help keep its usefullness as long as possible.

If you are considering this product, just understand as stated above it's not a miracle worker and won't turn your ram into a powerhouse with the click of a button. It's easy to use, and does work as described, just understand this product is not for everyone and if you are debating on getting this, to think about how you use your PC and what your expectations are. This program doesn't desrve a bad review because someone failed to use it as intended or expected too much from it. Everyone should know that upgrading your ram is by far the best option and close to always what I would recommend you do instead, but this program does have it purposes for a handful of people. There are other alternatives similar to this product as well, so do your research since some of them may be better for those who are at least reasonably tech-savy since this seems to have been made with ease-of-use in mind.

I hope this helped a few people make a decision on their purchase, and I'm sorry if my review isn't the easiest to follow, I tired by best. :D

PS: I've only tested this program a bit as you can tell by my time spent, so take my review as more of my thoughts until I continue to use it. However, I will say that it did help keep my crap tablet (4gb ram) from stuttering as hard as usual when hiting near cap from the couple tests I did. I was able to clear a fair chunk from my desktop, but I have 16gigs and rarely heavily multitask so as expected performance didn't change, just ran it to see if it functioned as expected. I will update my review if I have more to add or my opinion of it changes as I use it.

It doesn't boost RAM, it clears RAM from programs already using it. How much depends on the programs you are running. Web browsers use a lot as do some games.

I've tried free ones but they don't do as good a job as this one.
Having said that, since upgrading to 32GB RAM I haven't needed to use this, except for that ONE game - Cities Skylines, still a huge memory hog.

my pc came with a program that immediately frees up my ram when I start a game, think it comes with AMD softward.. upward of 4gb every time.. not sure why you need to pay for a program when companies do this for free.

Some games, like Cities: Skylines, use a huge amount of RAM if you have all the DLCs and lots of mods. I have 16GB of RAM and it uses all of it, taking about 6.5 minutes to load a save file when I tested it. Using Clearmem reduced the load time to only 1.5 minutes, and runnning it again afterwards cleared another 8GB of RAM with no noticeable loss of performance (Cities loads all assets into RAM whether you're using them all or not). This allows me to run Firefox along with the game with no affect on performance (previously my computer would virtually stutter to a halt when I tried that).

I highly recommend this program IF YOU NEED IT. It's also very helpful to run it with Firefox to stop it eating too much RAM when I open hundreds of tabs...

People giving this negative reviews don't understand how RAM works.

Appreciate your thoughts on the software! Quite thorough, if I do say so myself. ;)
