A brilliant comeback for the Tales of franchise after the stumble known as Tales of Zestiria, Tales of Berseria is an excellent entry in the JRPG series. An entertaining story, fun array of characters, and a great real-time combat system all come together to make Berseria a must-play for fans of the series, and a strong recommendation for fans of JRPGs in general.

An excellent game for any JRPG fan.

I've not played any other Legend of Heroes game, and I still enjoyed this one very much. I've heard there's references to events or characters from the Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky series, but you can start with Cold Steel, as I did, and still have a very good experience!

Came to write a thoughtful and critical review in regards to some of the weaker points in the game. Do yourself a favor and just just read this review. It summarizes the flaws with game very well.

While that review wouldn't recommend Crossing Souls due to the flaws they point out, I find that I am glad I played it, despite its failings.

Wait for a sale, but if the idea of Crossing Souls is interesting to you, it's worth a try.

A short, but enjoyable game.

Good replayability.

Fantastic atmosphere.

Must play for fans of choice-driven story games.

Life is Strange is one I definitely recommend to any fans of Telltale-like choose-your-own-adventure style games.

For those who simply don't care for that kind of game, there's probably nothing for you here that will change your mind.

Comparisons to Telltale games
  • Interesting characters and interactions
  • Rewind time! - in a game like this, being able to (short-term) reconsider a decision and change your mind is amazing
  • Probably performs better (not quite as choppy as Telltale is known for)
Plus, the first episode is free. If you try Episode 1 and hate it, no harm done. Without spoiling anything, I will say that even with the controversy surrounding the ending, this game is a great experience and well worth playing.

If you're on the fence on buying the complete game, it seems to go on sale during each big Steam sale for around 75% off ($4.99).

What a sequel. That's what I'm left thinking having recently finished my first playthrough of The Banner Saga 2.

Like the first game, The Banner Saga 2 definitely feels replayable, even though I haven't yet replayed either game I definitely plan to, especially 2. There are a number of choices I made that I would like to see play out differently.

The Best Parts
  • Improved battle gameplay (Barricades, New hero classes, Additional powers for heroes, and more!)
  • Plot drives forward with purpose, great pacing (another satisfying chapter of the Saga - just the right length)
  • Import your save from The Banner Saga

I could go on listing what makes The Banner Saga 2 great, but the above list summarizes the very best parts of the game.

A list of The Worst Parts would be difficult to come up with. There's one point in the game that was quite challenging for me - but if anything, that's another pro rather than a con. It forced me to readjust my strategy in order to overcome the challenge and ensure my heroes were successful, and eventual victory was that much sweeter.

In the end, isn't that what The Banner Saga is all about?

99% of the 9,970 user reviews in the last 30 days are positive.

I think that says a lot. It's not a very expensive game. Just buy it.

I didn't know what to expect when I launched Stikbold. A friend and I were looking for a fun co-op game to play locally, I saw that Stikbold had co-op, and the rest is history.

What we found in Stikbold was a nice looking game in terms of artistry, and an entertaining way to spend an afternoon. That said, we breesed through the story mode fairly quickly, but there are cool things that add some replayability, like the flower/challenges in each level, and (probably primary) versus mode, where you can and will spend hours duking it out dodgeball-style with friends.

I've never tried playing this game solo, so I can't speak for that. But the co-op experience is a lot of fun, and I recommend that highly! Pick this one up if you have a chance!
