A wonderful art style and an old school FPS gameplay comes together for a overall good experience. Played on hard but felt it was fairly easy all things considered. I enjoyed almost all aspects except the tone its heavy on the puns and meta commentary of the noir themes its playing with so it comes across a little too serious to be funny and a little too silly to be serious. Besides that mixed bag feeling to the tone the gameplay and art are wonderful. I would recommend this as an intro to the boomer shooter genre that has been growing steadily post DOOM (2016) it is very story driven which is not typical for the genre so it is very unique in that sense even if I didn't feel like it stuck the landing on that front. Very excited for the DLC and more from the devs.

It is a bit buggy at times and some of the achievements didnt pop for me like finishing 2 of the cases even though I found all the evidence and completed all main objects. FYI. The game ran very well except the haunted mansion level for some reason it went from the fairly stead 240 to 100fps. That was also the level that locked up on me requiring me to replay the first part again. I do believe that issue was fixed in the v1.0.4 hotfix that came out though.
