So I never write reviews but I am for this one. I first played Darwin Project when it first became free on the PC and i absolutely fell in love with it. I loved the unique and interesting gameplay style as well as the fun and intuitive combat. When I booted the game after release, I was very upset at all the changes. Everything that I learned and enjoyed about the game before had been completely overhauled and simplified to the pint that it becomes a completely different game. The ability to create your own set of items to fit your style is completely replaced by some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ class system. The harvesting and upgrading doesn't feel as rewarding anymore. I know I am probably overreacting because of how pissed off I am that I will never be able to play the old Darwin again, but it is a serious downer that it had to change so much and abandon those of us who had fallen in love with what it was, and for that, I cant truly say I recommend it.
