I decided to give the game another chance by starting from the 1936 scenario and converting it into a 1941 map, but the inaccurate borders in Sudetenland and 1941 Slovenia completely ruined the immersion for me. With borders this bad, I can't even enjoy RP. Who knows how many other borders from the original AoH2 were ruined in the new map, because the moment I saw one I just took a break from the game. In a strategy game the map is everything, yet it feels like the map was barely cared about.

As a long-time fan, the borders in this new map are complete garbage. I waited for the Definitive Edition hoping for better borders, but the new map is even worse than the old one.
How hard is it to make historically accurate borders? The original AoH2 already had decent ones, yet the Middle East, Hejaz, and Ottoman Tripolitania look like a hand-drawn mess with random jagged lines. Ottoman Tripolitania and Fertile Crescent are especially bad.
I desperately need a better map editor. Until then, I can't recommend the game. I love AoH2 but my obsession with borders makes this unenjoyable for me.

peak game. the only thing i didnt like was that batman was too old. other than that there is nothing bad about it. dont forget to try this experience.
