X-Plane 12 is not a huge change from X-Plane 11, but it offers some nice improvements. The graphics are better, mainly due to improved lighting, which is important for any game. The sun, environmental reflections, and airplane lights really enhance the visuals, especially during low-altitude VFR flights.

The biggest upgrade is the air traffic control. X-Plane 12 has much better ATC services compared to the free and paid plugins I tried in X-Plane 11. This makes the flying experience more immersive because you can no longer rely solely on VNAV and LNAV to navigate from one runway to another. The ATC gives you instructions that require you to actively manage and control other autopilot modes, increasing your workload as you track more parameters to ensure the aircraft is operated correctly.

I really enjoy this feature. For that reason alone, I would recommend upgrading to this version. The experience is very enjoyable!
