Featuring an animated skeleton who once was a pirate, Sticks & Bones is a point-and-click adventure that's both fun and amusing to play. I don't want to spoil the story too much here - you can watch my playthrough video for that 😝 - but here's a list of pros and cons of the game.

Watch me play! (Spoiler alert!)

- This was my second run. The first I livestreamed but apparently my internet connection didn't want to cooperate and my 30-min video was cleaved into two parts 😕

Pros
+ An amusing game
Despite not having a single line of dialogue, the dev managed to make the game funny through his brand of humour (which includes some good ol' "slap"stick humour - if you watch the video, you'll probably get why the word "slap" is highlighted here 😜).

However, I've got to say that not every attempt at humour is a "hit" for me. The ones that do land are pretty hilarious though. Just think of the skeleton you play as being the "infamous" Cap'n Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean and you'll get the type of humour the dev is going for. TBH, his companion does look a lot like Will Turner too 😃

+ Great storytelling skills, especially when there is no text. Personally, I'm eager to see how amicable (heh) "Will" and the Cap'n will be when they ultimately cross paths again.
+ Excellent use of sound effects to enhance certain moments in the game
+ Combat (swordfight) seems smooth and well-designed.
+ Game's generally easy to play. I assume all current achievements would be easy enough get too.
+ A good mix of slow, moderately-fast and quick time events in this game.

Cons
- Some parts of the game seem a bit drawn out but considering how short this game currently is, I can understand the need.
- Too short for the price tag. Honestly, I think the game currently plays and feels a lot more like a demo.
- Feedback: The one part where you have to flip the barrel over (@ 12:00 in the vid). I'd recommend removing the "A" key highlight completely because it's just confusing. I tried tapping A and D really quickly in hopes it'll flip the barrel over but apparently, that's not the case - you just need to press and release the D key only.

Overall
Episode 0 is merely a preview of the start of the skeleton's, whom I'll be addressing as Cap'n Sparrow from now on, treasure hunting mis-adventures and I'm really liking the game so far. However, as the dev himself knows, the game is just too short to warrant such a price tag. Due to this, I would not recommend buying the game at this moment, not until it's fleshed out with more content, but you can definitely add the game to your wishlist and check back in to see how far the game has developed.
