the only multiplayer shooter released in the last 8 years to keep my attention.

the art direction, the gunplay, and the perfect dilution of tarkov's mechanics.

in my opinion it's simply the best interpretation of the extraction genre to date; strips out so many of the annoying gripes with the main staples of the genre and has such a sleek level of polish comparatively.

there are issues; most of the UI's problems are something that you get used to (the implant icons being hard to differentiate),
but the weapon modding UI needs a complete overhaul; it's wayyy too cumbersome to swap weapon mods between guns, and to strip mods off of guns.

the solo experience also definitely needs some tuning. XP gain is laughably stunted in solo vs. squad play, forcing solo players to grind 3x more for the same results (for faction rep & season level)

those are the only 2 pressing issues i can really think of, everything else is inconsequential and/or already publicly planned to be fixed relatively soon. (the dev team's communication is incredible)

don't be afraid to give the game a chance! it can feel confusing and pointless in the first few hours but if you give it a little more time and learn more of its intricacies it is genuinely the best, and most interesting shooter of this current decade (so far).
