Okay try this, right click state of decay in steam, click properties then set launch options, add this -fullscreen don't forget the minus before fulscreen & there's no space between the minus & fullscreen.

well i install the 64 bit and it still give me the same issue starts up for a sec than nothng the game just wont start

I will, it's just lost its focus since the proc gen worlds came in. My friends don't play it anymore, I only ever really played with them.
