This game is an empty husk of what it used to be. The amount of pay-to-win progression in this game is insane. Rilisoft had a good thing going all those years ago, then it got ruined over the years. First was the addition of gems, then came individual upgrade levels instead of only having to upgrade one or two times. Now, there are weapons you can straight-up just buy that let you win super easily. I tried to play it again, I tried and wanted to enjoy it, but it's just not fun anymore.

I enjoyed it, but I might be biased in my fascination with foxes and Japanese folklore. It's short, though, I cleared it with 100% completion in about 16 hours. Neat art style, good music, and a decent story. Some of the platforming gave me a bit of grief (that damn egg). But I got to pet a giant kitsune, so all is well.

I thoroughly enjoyed the campaign, even if it was really short and was finished in around nine hours. One of my favorite stories. 10/10

Pretty fun both solo and with friends. Don't get it if you get upset easily because you WILL die over and over, even if you play on the easiest difficulty. It does offer different gameplay styles in the form of artifacts, so you can enable and disable them to your liking. Hyped for the next character.
