I can't recommend this enough. 10/10

A step down compared to the original Subnautica. Feels like a half-baked clone of the original plus an above-land gimmick.

Biomes are not as well interconnected, with many dead ends and repetitive areas making it less intuitive and more difficult to navigate. The map also feels smaller. You cannot just pick a direction and explore as there's a half chance you'll just end up going though a pointless wasteland and straight to the edge of the map.

On the plus side, the prawn is completely OP above ground when you strafe-run + jump (you get ridiculous speed for some reason), so you can breeze through the padded out above-ground section relatively quickly, even jumping the bridge gap that you're supposed to repair.

The story does go more in depth in this game with character dialogue etc, but it doesn't make up for what feels like an emptier world this time.

Very fun. Secrets of the Deep is hands down the best table available, even compared to the DLC tables. Great sound and atmosphere with effects that trigger based on events within the table. It's a shame the development team has moved on to FX3 with no future VR plans, so much missing potential :(

The method for height setting is a little jank; if you want to be higher/lower then you have to move yourself to a different height and press X(reset view), then return to your regular sitting/standing height.

My biggest feature request would be the option to rotate yourself/the environment vertically, to prevent cramping/bad posture from looking down for long periods of time. Be sure to take breaks!
