10/10 recommendation for an idle game. It's fun to watch on the side monitor, it's game loop is broken up by the different character who each thrive on different stats. I didn't care much for the lore dialogue but thankfully the dev did a great job color coding the text to let you be able to skim it and still know whats going on.

Good game overall but didn't keep my attention very long.

You know, I never played homeworld game before. Despite the opinions people posted, I was gonna give it a shot cuz I got it free and most of the complaints were about how different it was from the previous games (which didn't affect me who never played them).


This game is so horribly optimized that even on the lowest possible settings where it looks like complete garbage, it wasn't able to run steady at 60fps. This is horrible. (RTX3080 TI and 9800X3D with 32gb ram)

I will be uninstalling cuz the performance is just impossible to enjoy the game.

I am now over 100 hours deep (I switched to the non-steam launcher just so I could play my steam idle game also.) and I love what they have done with the game. I think they are on the right track.

I love all the new QOL things such as:
Unlimited Portals
Free Identify
Checkpoints (Sweet lord we needed these)
... and so much more.

My primary problem with them is the new skill gem system. Unlike the old system, they don't level from grind. Instead you have to rely on RNG to give you a new skill gem to level up the ones you have. This is very, VERY frustrating for new players. For players who are endgame, it means nothing and is a good system. They should have a vendor early on who sells lower level uncut skill gems, This would fix that issue.

That being said, we are here at the beginning of their journey with this new game. I look forward to how they develop it further.

If you seek factory dominance of the natural (alien) world. Then this is for you.

This is a wonderful and amazing idea we all wished could be but never thought would be. Relaxing, fun and really scratches that building itch between irl builds.

Bugs I saw: When tying the color values into the paint editor, it still triggers the tool swap keybinds and closes the window.

What I would suggest:
Add button to clip a whole sheet at a time.
Add option to paint a whole sheet at a time.
Snap decals
Add button to auto sort sheets to the left of the screen.
Add option to save custom colors to a pallet
Add option to go back and paint the models we put together already

The game is phenomenal.
The developed is engaged with the community and cares.
I played the hell out of it and loved every moment.
I am only sad by the fact it is over.

I had to stop over concerns.

In short, I have a 2080 super, yet this game somehow eats ALL the gpu when it is running, even is minimized. It doesn't matter what settings I change. in-fact, when I lower settings, the game runs worse.

The issue is either poor optimization by the devs or the game is doing something nefarious with my gpu.

Either way, I am sad because I wanted to enjoy this game so much. It is so similar to panorama, but with cyberpunk,
