at first this game looks interesting and promising. played demo for 2 hours before i decide to buy the game. after completing the first 4 towers, i realized interface is really messy, and not handy to handle farming or fighting.
game also blocks your progression, so you need to take a step further and beat a certain boss to progress, or you're basically just wasting time.

I played the first Magic Research and loved it. One of my favorite idle games, of which I have played many.

When I picked this one up, it didn't seem at first like it really improved on the original, in terms of UI, which I'd been hoping for. Pros and cons. But as I progressed through the game, and the game really revealed itself to me, I realized the cons are temporary and in reality, it's all pros.

I'm very happy with it.

If you want to play both, I recommend starting with the first one, just for quality of life reasons.
