Developer thinks builds that 1 shot people are more balanced than builds that you had a chance to fight back against. The ones you had a chance to fight back against, they nerfed into the ground and buffed the 1 shot builds into oblivion to the point they are now - Literally 1 second insta kill builds. Funny way of balancing. But ok.

I love the art, the style and mechanics goes as far as wiggling the bits of bags and items around to get everything to fit just right. Then trying to mix and match things. Even just discovering things was fun. Then the strange nerf/buff wave began and things just went into chaos.

Was a good game at launch and has slowly spiralled downwards into a cesspit. Shame really. Nobody wants to try things and experiment. Everyone wants to have the meta constantly.

The game is good, but if you suffer from FOMO, it may be a bit tricky for you due to the atom shop being a thing.
I do not like the whole fallout 1st but i totally understand the model and would prefer to see the scrap box and ammo box as part of the base game rather than a 1st feature after trying them out for a month myself.

Some ammo, like fuel, missiles, spikes and the like can weigh quite a bit. Which can take a considerable amount of space in your regular stash box. When it's in your ammo box however, you have infinite storage space, so don't need to worry about it.
There is also things like junk. Sure. You can hoard lots of junk after a while, and you absolutely do not need 3k of some stuff. Eventually it gets to a point where you have to sit down with your stash and sort it out. Donate it to the donation boxes. Hoarding isn't really necessary, and doing so just takes up a lot of stash space.

I do however like to play on my own private server by myself, and that is something with 1st that i may continue to pay for. Sure, it's nice to play with randoms sometimes too to do events and the like. But it's also nice to putter about and do my own thing too. Claim workshops, loot recipes and chassis, power armor in the wild. There are pros and cons to 1st. You get the atoms to make up for the cost, which i find i like. Cons, i find it a bit pricey, but it is what it is.
I do enjoy the game and after playing fallout 4, i find i like 76 just a bit more than 4.

I would recommend the game if you can try to curb your FOMO. You can do daily and weekly challenges as well as seasonal challenges for both Atoms and score points. You get tickets to get things for the season. You can earn atoms from the seasonal rewards and even with missing a couple weeks, and days i've still managed to claim 600 atoms from the season not including the hundreds i managed to earn just from doing challenges. So it's worth doing those too. Good game, nice and fun. Try to always be in a social group to give yourself +1 int. Go for int right away as Int = More experience. I didn't know that when i started playing and int was the last thing i leveled. Oopsie!

Have fun out there!

Ok i keep editing this review. I wish i could give a middle ground vote. It's kind of recommended but also not.

It's a game that is fun to play every now and then. You can easily pick up and play. Also put down just as easily. I like those types of games as i generally don't have long play sessions.
The game has a quite a bit of in-game purchase packs beyond the "turtle pack" starter pack of pets that you start with and they are fairly expensive too. So far, i have not seen them be on sale. Due to them being sold via in game only options and not by steam, they don't seem to go on sale that way too. You do earn a whole bunch of free things like scenes, hats and things just for playing, which get earned faster for first games of the day, first wins of the day and all that stuff.

The game gets a weekly rotated "weekly pack" of pets. So you get to try out various pets that i think come from a variety of packs as well as some pets from the turtle pack in a kind of mish mash of a pack. It's fun to try out and make little builds and play.

The only issue i take with the game is that there is not much wiggle room in terms of build diversity. People tend to make their way to the top with build X, Y or Z. Y will counter X and Z will counter Y kind of thing. If you don't build one of those 3 builds, you just get destroyed. Which is a sad thing because there is so many pets, i would've thought there would've been more room for build diversity.

That is my biggest complaint of the game. The lack of creativity there seems to be with it. Once a new weekly pack comes on, you see a lot of build diversity and it's really fun for the first 1-2 days before people figure out the X, Y and Z.
Either way. It's fun, easy to pick up and play. I would recommend it for that purpose alone. But don't hold too much stock in it for too much build diversity either. Have fun!

Interesting game play! You have to dig around for materials to give yourself a bonus to experience as well as providing upgrades to further your progress the more you play. Each upgrade applied makes each run easier and easier. When i initially started, i could barely stand to finish even hazard 1 difficulty. But now i've found minerals and gold for several upgrades, which are numerous, i've managed to finish quite a few levels on both hazard 1 and hazard 2 difficulty. It's a nice different take on the "bullet hell" type of genre. Different and nice. Keeps you coming back for more!

This is such good fun. I hesitated in getting this, but i absolutely do not regret it. It's kind of like vampire survivors but also not. It has a much more action feel to it where you have to actively dodge attacks and move out of the way of things. It's so much more entertaining and i find myself really enjoying it.
There seems to be a "God" system where certain Gods give certain powers and there's even an equipment system that improves your stats as you collect things. You also have little statues and objects in the level as you travel around showing on the mini-map that you go to, press E and it can give you a buff or something.
Really entertaining and found it kept me on the edge of my seat! Going to be really enjoying playing this. Highly recommend to the people who enjoy this genre.

So the servers for the PC are capped at 225k. Currently right now there are 386,612 people trying to play the game. Yet the developers are not increasing server capacity for the PC users.. WHY? This has been going on for DAYS.
They tried to lie by saying they increased it to 450k.. Sure they have. 225k for PC and 225k for PS5. But that means 100k people on the PC right now and for over 24 hours have been sitting on the damn screen seeing the message:
"Servers at capacity. Please try again later."
The devs response? Relaunch your game and try again.
Jesus.

Pretty good game. You get the freedom that other catching animal games have prohibited. You have base building, tech, crafting and survival elements. All sprinkled and intertwined with your pals helping things along. Some are more useful than others at certain things. You can cook a variety of foods to help stave off hunger, including butchering useless pals, which seems somewhat cruel. Don't want to take that route, then take them to the black market dealer and sell them instead.

Either way, they can either come on trips with you and be useful, or stay at base and be useful there too! You have a nice big palbox. There is supposedly about 50 hours content right now, i have not hit that ceiling yet, but more is to be added later.

The proverbial sacrificial lamb. That comes back and bites with vengeance!
I love the game. It has a nice little rogue lite twist with building aspects and dark elements with the rituals. The latest updated added hanky panky so you can go and do all kinds of things.
I like the cutesy cutesy look of the art style in amongst the dark humour and subject matters the game tackles which makes it just not so horrific. Really well done game and has provided me with quite a lot of joy that i'm happy to keep on coming back to.

It's a strange thing. I love the game yet i cannot recommend it in it's current state. I've played right from when it first released up until now when i write this review and tried changing my mind a few times. At first i would've recommended it but as the updates roll out, the game becomes more UNSTABLE rather than stable.
Not only that, but rather than focusing on the fun aspect of the game, the developers seem to want to punish the players rather than reward them with an exciting and rewarding experience during gameplay.
There are mutators that were added and are nothing but a gimmick. There a few that make the game easier, or exciting like giving extra guns and perks but they are rare and once in a blue moon. The game mostly becomes harder, that itself is not the problem. It's when you get combination mutators like pitch black (Sounds exactly like it is. You cannot see much. It's BLACK.) Ambushes and maximum threat. That combo of 3 mutators had me locked in a respawn area for almost an hour unable to get anywhere with a full team of 16 playing.

Then developers add bugs that take full clips of the best guns to take down, all the while nerfing the guns that take so much to take down those very same bugs. Fire bugs are a huge issue that devs have basically said "We're looking into it" But when? After you've killed off all the player base that's slowly dwindling away not willing to put up with fire bug spawn camping?!
They are so many as well as taking so much damage before dying combined with their massive damage output to players makes them a problem. On veteran difficulty, they are what keeps players locked in a respawn zone pelting the box relentlessly. You get out of the respawn zone only to be pushed back INTO it because they fire pelted the pathways, climbed up mountains and keep disappearing into floors and reappearing everywhere only to chuck fire EVERYWHERE until everyone is back in the respawn box. The more fire bugs and fire that is pelted everywhere, the more the server lags. Eventually you will be locked into a lag spiral of doom and all you hear is your character screaming their death over and over whilst respawning and screaming, and dying. You may see yourself jiggle and wiggle as maybe a bug or 2 hit you, and you see all your fellow troopers stood in your same area falling to the same fate as you and you hear them sigh and fall limp in death to lag repeatedly as well. Like i said. UNSTABLE.

So, no. It's not recommended right now. You either play on easy and wait a long time for a game, or play on veteran difficulty and be prepared for horrific mutators and being respawn camped by the fire bugs.
The developers don't understand the term "Fun". When the game first came out, it was fun. Now it's not.
Don't get me started on the agni prime of take-the-piss map where there are strategically placed lava rivers just to piss you off and be a PITA. Just play hunter, they can boost over it. Otherwise you'll be running 5 minutes AROUND the lava river. There's no jumping over it.

My first real D&D. It's awesome and i loved Astarion's character even from the beta. I'm glad i purchased the game and continued on. I'm allowing the game to cook a little before i get super stuck in right now though as i want to experience the game in all it's glory. Larian always makes content updates for a couple years beyond the release and i'm happy to wait for a completed finished product. On release it was a little buggy with some frame issues. But still a real magical gem that was a joy to play.
