I have now played through all previous versions including the recently released PS4 Zodiac Age. I think the story is pretty decent and the mechanics are amazing, but I want to make mention of a few massive improvements to this version that makes it the absolute best in my opinion.

+ 60 FPS!!! Holy balls! FFX HD is not even 60 FPS, because the games code was locked to the original PS2 architecture. A 60 FPS update for FFX HD would be amazing but was said to be almost impossible. FFXII Zodiac Age for PS4 is even locked at 30 FPS. This version is the only one that I know of that is both HD and 60 FPS. It runs extremely smooth and is beautiful.

+ Both "New Game +" and "New Game -" are available immediately. This is an amazing quality of life update, especially for those who already own and/or have already beaten the PS4 version. "New Game +" just starts all characters at level 90, and "New Game -" locks the party at level 1 iirc. These features massively increases replayability.

+ All of the previous features in the PS4 version are available in this version, including multiple spoken languages, multiple versions of the soundtrack, the 2x and 4x fast forward settings, and of course the internation Zodiac updates for choosing classes and having access to all gambits immediately.

If nothing else, the 60 FPS setting makes this version the very best that can be purchased. Completely recommended and cannot wait to play through this game until I throw up.
