I think the concept is SUPER cool, the way real cities are mapped and share the same name/traits as they do in the real world (You can start a base in a Wendy's, raid your local high school for textbooks/blueprint resources, etc:

Very fun little roguelite game!

Disabling Depth of Field, Motion Blur and VSync added like 40 more FPS. I'm actually hitting 50-60 fps now. Once you get past the performance issues, this game is very lovely.

Get past the first few hours of the game and you'll change your mind.

Amazing game! This is such a classic game genre that has been added upon in amazing detail, I love this game and I hope development continues!

Also 10/10 soundtrack, takes me back to Simcity 2013.

I'm baffled this game has mixed reviews. As a huge fan of Hearts of Iron IV I'm having an absolute blast with Victoria 3.

Perhaps it's because I've never played Victoria 2, but I'm enjoying this game far more than EU4 or CK3 and none of the DLC's are even out.

I don't mind the military system at all, in fact, I love the slow burn of building up your economy and modernizing your nation. It's not for everyone, but there is something so satisfying about watching the world change. Building railroads, discovering oil, discovering gold fields, colonizing, it's the quintessential 19th century economy game.

Is it perfect? No, but most of my gripes come from bugs and crashes but, those aside, I've been having an utter blast with this game and I think everyone should give it a try, just don't expect a military railroading simulator, but rather a laid back economical diplomacy simulator.

If you've played Victoria 2 you might be disappointed (as Paradox games tend to do before years of DLC) but if you're approaching this as someone new to the Victoria series you'll have a blast.
