This is a fun, simple, light strategy/roguelite distraction. It has a simple rock, paper, scissors mechanic and the usual random chance associated with roguelites. It shares some similarities with FTL in crew management. Optional conversation branches reveal more lore as you play. If you enjoy Battlestar Galactica, Babylon 5 and/or Star Trek then this may appeal.

The single player feels a little truer to CoD 2 than other more recent titles in the series. I like some of the less familiar modes in multiplayer, War mode has become a favourite.

This is a really addictive deck building/rogue like crossover. Whilst luck factors heavily into how a run goes it is entirely possible to weight your deck in your favour, creating powerful combos and stacking buffs reasonably easily with some planning. Despite having never completed a full successful run, I've rarely felt that the game has been too unfair on me, I've got reasonable ground covered and enjoyed each run.

After a slow start I quite enjoyed this. I like the low tech cyberpunk setting, seeing Commodore 64s being used was a winner with me. It plays similarly to Layers of Far, using the same tricks in places (unsurprising given the same developers). I thought the 'hide from the monster' parts as per Alien: Isolation/Outlast/Soma etc were used a bit much for my liking, especially as sometimes it isn't immediately obvious which direction the linear escape route is. At one point I died about four times on the trot, the game taking longer to reload the checkpoint than for me to die after said reloading. This was annoying and I decided to go and do something else for an hour or two instead.

The story is quite interesting, the atmosphere gets into your head if you want it to. As with Layers of Fear, the shifting environments, use of sound and occasional jump scares are good if you're a fan of the genre. Having the main character voiced by Rutger Hauer is quite cool too.

I got this as part of a Humble Monthly, as such it represented good value in how much I paid for it but I'd possibly recommend this as a sale purchase. If you're a fan of the genre then I'd definitely recommend it. If you're not a fan of walking simulators with sci-fi horror elements then this may not be for you. If Layers of Fear was a bit Poe and Lovecraft then this is William Gibson and David Cronenberg.

Fun mix of rail shooter and rhythm game, plays a bit like Starfox meets Guitar Hero. Great soundtrack, it isn't all entirely to my taste but matches the gameplay perfectly. It looks nice when running too.

Terrible.

I've liked previous games by the developer on a variety of platforms. I can live with the graphics not being amazing or how the game handles because I enjoy playing their other titles. Unfortunatley I've never made it past the first career race as the game keeps corrupting the save file and checking online this has been a fault since the game launched a couple of years ago. I wish I'd read this before purchasing.

Avoid.

I liked the idea, it's just executed quite badly.

BioShock is one of the best games of the last ten years. Everyone should play it.

I was really excited at the prospect of receiving the Remastered version as a free upgrade to the original.

This is really broken. I'm comfortable with playing on a 360 pad so a lot of the issues others are suffering with don't bother me.

What does bother me is the following:
Freezing when checking the map screen which required a system reboot.
Having AA, Vsync, Subtitle and Y-axis settings reset after the crash.
Crashing during saving and the resultant loss of the save file I was overwriting and an hour's progress.

Fear of the game crashing when I want to check the map has me saving the game. Now I have the fear that saving the game will delete the save and cause a crash.

Checking the map or saving shouldn't be a lottery.

A fun SHMUP with a twist. Dodging bullets and gunning down bad guys is familiar territory but weaving around trying to tag the right answers for simple maths problems without getting killed adds an extra challenge. It's great to see someone doing something different with a traditional genre. The soundtrack's pretty cool too.

In the absence of a good recent version of Cannon Fodder this is a step in the right direction.
