What a ♥♥♥♥♥♥' ride. Incredible paintings degraded to crude Python-esque animations, never-ending gags (seriously, this is a very funny game), and it has Scarlatti in the soundtrack. SCARLATTI!!! The word "masterpiece" has never felt more appropriate when describing a game, but it seems the developer has already beat me to it.

10/10

Played a pirated version of it when I was 13, 10 years on I still don't really get it. Deciphering was fun, the music and color are amazing (how about that first ending, huh?), and that's about all I'd be willing to stick around for.

The platforming felt somewhat lackluster, although obviously the focus here is on the puzzles; with extremely minimal fast-travel functionality, you would obviously want to make journeying between the puzzles as non-demanding as a game of this type would allow. But honestly, after experiencing the Meat Circus several times in the span of one afternoon, this was piss-easy.

Notwithstanding my pet peeve about the 8-bit-retro-nostalgia circlejerk aesthetic, I wanted to give this one a chance, and it just underdelivered as a game. Cute? Sure. Fun? Not really. A hard 5/10.

Neat concept, however, the game feels very bare. Unraveling the story was awesome, and the mid-90's aesthetic was a treat, but other than that, there's so little to the gameplay loop! Other than the extra mini-game and two readme files, 95% of it is typing in keywords, watching clips up to 2 minutes long, and repeating the process. Over. And over.

Worst part is, you're only given an extremely limited in-game tool to attempt to re-assemble the clips in chronological order (of which there are 271), and all this while the entire database (checker) stares at you with a hideous smirk, knowing full well its limitations are slowly driving you insane.

Overall an entry with great potential, just wish there was a little more going on.

Nice and short, driving felt as satisfying as the previous game. Spooked me good.
