Imagine stepping into Steam and putting such "game" into F2P category.

Step aside, Dota 2, Team Fortress 2 and Counter Strike are masters of such domain.

This game don't even have a chance of glimpse chance staying here against Porn, Hentai and Furry games, especially all of them, let alone any other F2P game at bottoms, and I didn't even have to mention rest of the Steam of actual great and REAL games.

Hey, I think it's a good idea to release unpolished game to the mass of players. And don't care about translating it to english.

Perfect, that'll blow up the game industry!

Outstanding strategy ever seen, visual and gameplay both, and surprising that it works in such excellent way, I like it!

It's all started really, really simple.
Who'd ever knew, that Knuckle Cracker would break into game industry with such a great success from a game they created about some water attacking your base, and you should defend yourself against it?
Maybe it's 3D, but yet it still feels like something unique, and it gives sure a plenty of vibes.
Such a hillarious enemy, but much interesting.

So..... We have here is Resource Managment, Tower Defense and RTS. To be honest, I really like these genres, all of them require attention, and also require resources to progress on one way or other.
What do we all usually see in normal RTS games? You build some resource-gatherer units, build some barracks, and just wait for resources to come into the house, and just start production, and then destroy the enemy.
TD games? Put something close to the road, and it attacks enemy passing through automatically. That's all.
Resource Managment says by itself.

But Mindustry has some unique way to connect both of these genres, especially in gamemodes.

Survive gamemode - More TD, less RTS, all you do is just trying to survive as long as possible.

PVP - Equally both, at it feels like playing chess, but you had to build units to attack (or attack opponent by yourself) and build turrets to defend against opponent's units. Win by destroying opponent's core.

Attack - Less TD, more RTS. Yes, you still need some defenses, because enemy always will attack (especially if along with waves, enemy base can make units by itself). Win condition same as PVP.

About units: You HAD TO build them literally, building only barracks are not enough (expect for Draug, but it's miner drone without any weapons), because you need some more resources, and somehow generate enough power to atleast kickstart them. Also every factory has a little limit, so you need alot of them, if you really want to attack an enemy, because units by themselfs are not... Really... Tough. Toughest unit prob will make you ask me a question "This one has 10k health, why do you say they are not tough?"
Remember, that in TD some towers deal with super-strong enemies? In Mindustry end-game towers are powerful enough to destroy any uniy. Just make sure you can deal with both air and ground at the same time.
