Ok so Dark Souls is genuinely one of the best games ever made and I will die on this hill. It's brutal yeah but like, in a fair way? You never feel cheated, you feel stupid, which is different lol. The world is insanely well connected and exploring it feels so good once it starts clicking in your head.

Bosses will destroy you. Like, dozens of attempts, no shame. But when you finally get it?? Nothing hits like that.

Combat is slower than the sequels but honestly that just makes it more satisfying — every enemy plays by the same rules as you so fights feel like a proper mind game rather than just mashing buttons. And the bonfire system is lowkey genius, always makes you wanna push just a liiittle further than you should.

Just play it.

In an era of colossal and hollow open-worlds, this 12-hour linear adventure shines the brightest.
I struggled to find a single flaw — never bored, never rushing, never watching the clock. Nothing felt like a chore, not even the training and epilogue challenges.
Not every game needs 200 hours and a massive map filled with repetitive activities — and this proves it.
Diana holds your hand a bit during combat, but it's barely noticeable unless you're really struggling.
An absolute banger and a must-play. 10/10

Pretty much a perfect game imo. Yeah the combat gets a lot of hate but once it clicks it's actually really fun. Genuinely one of the best I've played. Also you can get the full game + all DLC super cheap on sale so there's really no excuse not to try it lol
