Genre: Superhero/Open World/Tank Simulator

Arkham games are one of the most polished games out there. They are all pretty fun, gameplay is really fun and fluid, and this game is no different. But, if I had to describe this game in one sentence, it would be that it is a really fun game that you can't wait to finish.

When it comes to story, without spoiling much I will say that is pretty similar to the story of the movie Batman Begins. Scarecrow is the main villain, trying to spread his fear toxin through the city which doesn't kill people, but makes them go crazy. I am guessing Batman Begins also borrowed this story from comics, which I didn't read many, so I can't confirm. Problem is that Batman Begins is a 2 hours movie which executed this story pretty well, while this game's story drags too long for no reason. It is the longest campaign in all Arkham games and the story is nothing special. It is pretty average. That is my problem with the games in the last 10 years. They tend to make them too big for no reason. Instead of focusing on producing quality shorter games they tend to produce bit games with a lot of fillers and unnecessary story missions as well as many side missions. Maybe some people will disagree with me, but I would rather have 10 hours quality game, than 30 hours mediocre game for same amount of money.

Now let's talk about gameplay. Gameplay itself is awesome, probably the best in Arkham games, which makes sense, since it came the last. Combat is fun as always and driving Batmobile is really fun, and it really makes you feel like Batman. However there is also a battle mode which is fine, pretty mediocre, but fine. Problem is that 30-40% of the main story missions consist of you fighting enemy tanks in your battle mode. Last of these missions have you fighting 45 tanks attacking you constantly. It is insane. There is nothing fun to me about these missions. If we remove them, campaign would be great. They are totally unnecessary. They confirm what I said above. Many developers are just trying to prolong their games for no reason, because they are not creative enough to make quality content filled games. Which I don't understand, because they already made quality games in the past, and yes I think that even Batman Arkham Origins is great.

The world itself is amazing. Gotham looks incredible, and flying through it or driving your Batmobile really makes you feel like Batman. There are many side missions, and many villains, but again it seems like they focused more on the size of content, and not the quality itself. There is maybe one memorable side quest to me, but even that side quest ended with tank battle. Why even play war games when you can just play this game. Batman + tank, what is there to not like? It took me around 25 hours to complete this game, while completing all DLC missions, and finishing game with 70% completition. I played this game on PS5, so that is why I have low hours here, and from what I tried game seems to run fine now, but not perfect.

Pros:
- Amazing combat as always
- Driving Batmobile is really fun
- Gotham looks amazing
- Graphics are beautiful

Neutral:
- Side quests are pretty mediocre
- Story is average, lasts too long

Cons:
- Tank missions are abysmal, and there are too many of them in campaign

Verdict:
While this game is pretty fun, when you are not playing World of Tanks while saving Gotham, it is a pretty mediocre game for the standard of Arkham games. Definitelly the worst in the series. This is still a pretty fun game, but tank missions ruined the experience for me. I am barely recommending this game, because combat is still really fun and also who doesn't love Batman.
