(6.6 hours on record) Thoughts so far, I absolutely love this game. If you like previous fantasy life titles (Fantasy life 3ds, Fantasy Life online) you will enjoy this game.

Things to know before you buy:

- You should REALLY play this game with a controller or a steamdeck. I can't imagine mouse and keyboard feels very good with this game.
- This is a slow life RPG, it will probably take you a several hundred hours to max all classes (they are called "lives" in the game), to complete all requests, main story missions, shrines and exploration
- This is extremely story heavy, be prepared to read, A LOT. Be prepared to watch a lot of cut scenes as well. (I think the story is good as well. It is a bit juvenile in my opinion, but so was the original fantasy life story on the 3ds. Very quirky characters and a very positive vibe over all.)
- The combat is fairly simple, if you're looking for crazy movement and skills. This is probably not this game. It's got more of a zelda feel for combat.
- there are 14 lives all with a different skill tree and all need to be leveled up separately
- the game is fairly grindy, but In my opinion in a fun way. I'm not much for grinding in games but fantasy life makes it enjoyable for me.
- This is not an animal crossing clone. There is combat, a deep story and a crazy number of quests. If you wanna sit back and build up an island and not have to think about leveling up lives to do so, you will probably be disappointed and you should play Dinkum instead.

This is by far not going to be the perfect game for most people and I understand that. But this is the perfect game for me. However, I do hope more people can enjoy this fantasy life with me. :)

Edit: (35 hours on record)

- I have since played on steam deck and it runs amazing on that.
-I had an issue with launching the game recently, I fixed it by getting rid of my previously installed epic games launcher and all files connected to it. Then I did i quick reinstall of the game. It was annoying but it wasn't difficult to fix and I don't foresee any further issues, I will continue to update my review as I play.
- I have yet to try out multiplayer but from everything I've seen mutiplayer is pretty terrible. This is a single player game at best. Multiplayer seems to be a bit of an after thought, HOWEVER, there is a survey they are doing and if you input your concerns maybe they can do a multiplayer overhaul in the future?

How to get to the survey:
Launch fantasy life> click survey on the top right of the title screen > click link (there is also a password on the link) > scroll down to click the link for the survey > enter password provided > fill out the survey :)

The survey isn't long, took me about 15 minutes in total.

I'm still absolutely loving this game. I'm thoroughly addicted.

If you got to the end of this review and have any questions please do not hesitate to ask me. In the comment section below. :D

Just. Buy it. It's got a great story, satisfying progression and I just loved every second of it.
