Early Access Review
Not just another generic zombie game. This really scratches that co-op itch. We've been looking for something that's survival, but not super hardcore absurd survival (it probably could be depending on your game settings). If you're a fan of Fallout and you like to scavenge, and you felt like Fallout 76 was missing something, this might be the game for you. I feel like it has the right balance of scavenging, building, and character progression to make it an awesome co-op game to play with friends. I focus on the base with the intellect tree, my buddy works on the mining and farming skills in the strength tree, and we survive the apocalypse.

It ticks all the boxes for a pleasant zombie apocalypse experience. Find your little slice of hell, build a farm, do some mining, bludgeon some zeds, and scavenge for resources to progress towards bigger and better tools.

Laugh as the zombie dogs rush your electrics fence, scream in horror as the pack of dogs runs UNDER the wire and proceeds to tear you apart, then rethink your base defenses. Flip the switch to the electric fence right as your friend walks out the front door and watch him get shocked. Build a robot turret to launch zombies at spikes.

I've got almost 40 hours in so far and I have a lot left to do. There's definitely some things that could be tweaked or re-balanced, but it sounds like Alpha 20 is in the works and I've only ever played 19. Some things that confuse me about skill trees, like why do skills reduce the cost of crafting a thing that doesn't unlock until the max rank of that perk (looking at you advanced engineering)? Overall it's honestly one of my favorite games to just chill out and play with friends because the whole focus of the game and how it plays out is on how you work together and progress through it.

Tons of replayability in this game. You can start over with different settings, take a different path, even create a new random map. The joy is in the survival, and if you've got a friend or two to play with that will change the entire dynamics of the game.
