First thing I want to mention, this game is extremely fun and I have enjoyed my time with it for the most part, so it kind of feels unfair that I can't leave a neutral review, because that's how I feel about this.
The positive things I want to say about this game carry a lot of the weight and make me want to overlook the negatives, but I want to be fair in my opinion and this game does certainly have some negatives.

Pros
- The core gameplay loop is extremely fun and addictive.
If Vermintide or Left 4 Dead were your kind of game, then this will be enough to make you want to overlook the problems, cause the loop is really fun.

- The weapons all feel meaty and satisfying.
Every weapon I have used so far has been fun to use, through good gunplay and great sound design, it will never not be fun to turn a heretic into mist with a boltor, or fire wildly into a crowd of them with an auto lasgun.

- The levels are all beautifully crafted and really bring the world to life.
They truly embody the essence of 40k by feeling like horrible places to exist, and it's great.



Cons
- No Singleplayer / private lobbies, or any way to play with just your friends.
There are bots in the game so I can't understand why they wouldn't let you have these private lobbies. I was hoping that when the game got released this would change, but it doesn't appear to have and it's frankly off-putting.

- Level variety is lacking.
They have been adding new missions and levels with good frequency, so I'm not too worried about this one. The levels that are there do feel very same-y after a while and there are only a few different kinds of environment.

- Microtransactions.
They don't belong in a £30 game (or any game actually), it just feels greedy.

- Game still has issues with performance.
Granted, my CPU is very old, so I don't expect to get high frames, but the issues with performance seem to effect even high end rigs.

- Classes don't feel distinct enough.
There is already a fair bit of crossover of weapons between classes, but a lot of the time certain classes fulfil the same roles as each other, though if this is anything like Vermintide we will hopefully see sub-classes over time.


Overall I really enjoy this game, and would recommend it if you enjoyed Vermintide, or love the WH40k universe, but the above mentioned cons make it ride the line for me. Personally the lack of singleplayer options really brings the game down a lot, so I hope that they add this in, and this review might tip to being a recommend.

Very fun but very short. Workshop would really make this game worth it.

Good Fun to play, although if you are looking for something new and refreshing to the last games then you may not want to get this as it is very similar to the other games.

Simple, yet the most fun i've had in a game for a long time! tonnes to do in it and just when you think you've seen it all they update and the whole game changes again! Highly reccommend it to anyone not looking for a serious game but more casual fun by yourself or with mates. Cannot stop playing this :P
