Games like this tend to fall into a forgettable "Pokemon but less charming" trap. Cassette Beasts is not one of those games. It's charming, it's fun, it's a little bit Pokemon, a little bit Zelda, and very much its own worthwhile game.

This game is exactly what you'd expect when you learn that it's a Sonic game from the studio that did Yoshi's New Island and Balan Wonderworld.

Do not pay $60 for this.

If you're looking for a way to play classic Sonic games on modern devices, this is definitely it. It's nice to see a re-release of S3&K, too, even if they had to replace some parts of the soundtrack.

Good game. Anniversary mode adds plenty of QOL changes, like widescreen, infinite lives, and the ability to use coins (anniversary mode's replacement for extra lives) to retry special stages, make these very good versions of the classic games.

Visually amazing, the girls are hot, there's a violent child with an anchor, and a canon nonbinary/agender vampire. 9/10 pls remove potemkin.

Definitely the best Sonic game we've gotten in a while. Everything about this game just feels right. It's a near perfect recreation of the feeling of playing Sonic 3 and Knuckles, with better level design. Fast paced and fun, it's a platformer that encourages multiple playthroughs to really go fast and find all the hidden stuff.

The characters are likeable, the enviroments are memorable, and the story was very enjoyable. Undertale is a little game with a lot of heart.
