This is the absolute worst writing I've ever seen in a game done at a professional level like this, and it's even more pathetic considering how great BL2's writing was. The Twins are so obviously trying to be versions of Jack with how they talk, but with zero good qualities. It just constantly feels like the writing is trying to be all "in your face" like BL2 but has to be woke and cater to everyone to make sure no ones feelings gets hurt, so it just comes off as patronizing. No one shuts up either, the villains won't even insult you personally so you don't "get your feelings hurt" like Jack would, despite the way Jack did it being entertaining (I actually liked when he trash talked 'cause it was always entertaining hearing what new thing he had), and everyone else just has to constantly praise you the player as being the best thing ever. There's no sense of earning anything, everything feels handed to you on a silver platter.
Gameplay is alright, it's the best part of the game, but they hand out high tier weapons constantly so it hardly feels satisfying finding a rare weapon. It's also really buggy, as trying to connect online was troublesome on several occasions, falling through the floor is an occasional issue, and clipping through walls sometimes too.
That being said, maybe for BL4 they should get the programmers to write the story instead, clearly they know what they're doing more than the writers that made whatever this was.

Hope you like constant stun mechanics for no reason that take forever to get out of, usually caused by already high damage dealing attacks that nearly guarantee a follow-up attack that'll just kill you outright, and with this happening constantly.
Several times the Slinger would bug out and not close, not to mention the range for the Slinger is ridiculously close.
Menus are far to over complicated for what they need to be.

All these issues are resolved and done far better in Rise.

An absolutely fantastic game. I can recommend it to pretty much anyone. It takes a different twist on anything I've played before while filling it with fantastic music, pixel-work graphics, and gameplay! The RNG may seem annoying, but trust me the game would be boring and repetitive without it. Every time you start up the game, a whole new adventure is coming!

An absolutely fantastic game! If you loved Sonic Colors, Sonic Unleashed (Day sections), or even the classic Sonic games, you will love this one. Stunning graphics, controls, and feel to it. Easily one of the best Sonic games ever created
