ARK: Genesis Season Pass

To clarify, I have been playing ark on and off since Beta Early Access, and it has improved a lot since, However this late into release its still plagued with many things, even with this new map rework pack.

Old bugs and glitches that have been commonly known for a long term are still around, new more serious glitches involving recent Anti cheat system that's unfinished and untested.

On launch of Genesis, naturally all the official servers were heavy capped with 70/70 players, and up to 8 hour queues to log in, this is natural however and nothing unexpected, the implementation of new dinosaurs such as Ferox, BloodStalker and Magmasaur are all very welcome additions if a bit un balanced for their purpose.

One of the main issues I came across with these new Dinosaurs, the Bloodstalker in particular is this tame hangs from branches in the tree canopy, or under the branch until the recent patch a level 150 would tame 1250 Blood pouches to tame up, solo tribe, using 8 respawn beds, this would take 13 and a half hours, of constantly draining blood, dying and repeating with 200 Hp, Ark is a grind I understand its to keep more people around for longer However, after spending this long collecting blood packs to tame and finding a max level 150 Stalker in the wild, Only to tame it, and the stalker instantly vanish, with the explanation of "Dinosaur was Auto Destroyed Due to Anti cheat Mesh system".

This is one of the few known bugs, however the support simply does not care the slightest unless you are a famous youtuber, or popular Ark streamer.

Submitting a ticket on ARK's Slow support system, only gets you the automated copy and pasted reply of
"Thank you for contacting Studio Wildcard. I regret to inform you that per our developer's request, I am not able to proceed with this dino reimbursement.
As a fellow survivor, I know how much time, effort, and love is put into every part of the game, and I can only imagine how you are feeling. I know that these are words from a person that you do not know, but I want to truly express my apologies for what happened to you and everyone else in the community. Unfortunately, due to internal policies, we cannot restore dinos lost this way now. However, I will bring your concern to my supervisor and development team and see if they could adjust the policy soon. Take care and have a great adventure!"

This seems sincere at first, until almost Everyone taming these, gets the exact same copy and pasted replies back, spending this many hours to tame one, for the unfinished anti cheat system to destroy half a day of effort only to be told, we are aware of the issue, but have other things to fix, and are working on our NEW ARK DLC "crystal isles".

After enough complaints, Eventually the amount of blood requires was lowered by 90% now only requiring 150 blood packs to tame the same, however this is on the patch 8 Days after launch, when they were aware from day 1.

There are some aspects that are new and enjoyable, such as the playable missions to earn the new currency hexagons, but these come with their own set of issues, such as Timed Race events even a flawless unhindered lap, will Barely scrape Beta completion, only to find the Alpha difficulty (hardest mode) is expected to cut off another 20 seconds off your 1minute 20 lap time, from a flawless lap. This is obviously non achievable, however players not on pc, but on console, have an extra 3 minutes of time for the same event, this is clearly an unfair advantage that has also been ignored.

Overall The expansion is a refreshing change to ark, but is severely let down by both the Support teams failure to assist with any game breaking issues and the overall lack of empathy and robot like responses which lead to no action.
