I love the borderlands series. I've played all of the games with the exception of the new tales game. Even with the poor performance and worse story of Borderlands 3, I had hoped that Borderlands 4 would return to the things that made the previous entries personal favorites that I have hundreds of hours logged into. But, I have more than one or two issues with Borderlands 4. Firstly, this game has crashed on me more than any other game I have ever played. That's a surprising feat, considering I often played unstable and/or hastily thrown together Minecraft modpacks, as well as in general modded games such as Fallout 4 and Skyrim. I've played for roughly around 7 and a half hours, and experienced 7 crashes. Nearly one per hour of gameplay. Mind you, this is AFTER the stability patch on September 13th. Along with the frequent crashes, the game performs atrociously. I have every setting possible set for performance, everything on the lowest possible, and the game barely manages 60 fps. That being said, the issue must be my pc specs, right? No. I had this exact thought myself. Checking task manager while playing the game, my CPU averages about 45%-50% utilization, while my GPU sits at around 80%. I have an i7-14700K and a Geforce 3060, and can play most games on performance settings with at least a comfortable 100 fps. But, fps isn't everything. I 100%ed Doom the Dark ages before upgrading my pc, using a CPU that was BELOW the required specs, getting an average of 45 fps. But it was stable fps. The game felt like molasses, because my pc wasn't good enough, and I still got through the entire game and had fun. But BL4? Frequent if not constant frame drops, stutters, hitching, input eating, and even crashes.

Unless you've built yourself a supercomputer, don't buy this game. I made the mistake of spending $120 on it, and played enough of it to not be able to refund it. I was holding out hope that, because the buzz on social media, as well as it being said not just by the people in charge of making the game, but creators on social media, that the creators had listened to fan feedback and would fix the issues with the prior releases. My issues with the game aren't just the performance, although currently that is my largest issue. How am I supposed to enjoy the product I paid for, when it fights against being experienced?

Performance aside, I have other critiques. Really, only two thus far, as I haven't yet finished the game. Pacing and dialogue. I've beaten the main story of Borderlands 3 twice, and each of the dlcs once. Before BL4 was even announced, I went back and replayed the whole series up to 3. I got so into 2 that I beat the story with every character, and even beat the TVHM and UVHM playthroughs with 2 of them. I took my time with the other games, and really enjoyed them. But BL3. I could hardly stomach it. Every single mission, the game stops in its tracks so an NPC can give exposition for 10 minutes. This is the same way BL4 is. I like the characters in 4 more than in 3, but that's likely because I'm just now meeting them. Sitting through long sections of dialogue that I haven't heard before isn't as bad as being forced to sit through hours of exposition I've already heard. I don't know if there's an option to skip dialogue, say after the main story has already been beaten once, and in general, I deliberately went into this game completely blind- or as blind as I could. To say I've been overall disappointed would be accurate.

To summarize, overall I give Borderlands 4 a 6/10.
Gameplay: 8/10
Story: ~6/10 (Subject to change once I finish the story, thus far it's just not bad.)
Overall Performance: 3/10
Graphics: 8/10

Again, only buy this game if you have a top of the line PC, and are willing to deal with frequent crashes during normal gameplay.

This game was recommended to me by... a friend. The whole series, really. I've never been the biggest fan of jrpgs or even rpgs in general. It took some convincing to get me to even buy this game, much less to play and finish it. I've only played and finished FFX as of right now, and haven't touched any of the other options from the launcher. But the overall experience was overwhelmingly moving to me, so I had to write this immediately after finishing the game. FFX really is a game to play for the story, it's by far the best part of it. But there are a few detractors. In my opinion, the pros overwhelmingly outweigh the cons. Simply put, this game is worth full price. If you see it on sale, buy it and play it. It was a long 51 hours for me (~6 hours over average), but it was worth it. This is borderline a game that you'd get the same experience watching someone else play it as you do playing it yourself, but not fully. A vast majority of the time spent is walking and combat, in theme with the game's story and setting. I personally loathe grinding in games. I could write a 1000 word essay about why. I spent about 30 hours of the game grinding and walking alone. Along with that, mechanics get explained a single time, you get an example, then you have to remember how it works. The game does not hold your hand. Fortunately, you do get a menu option to reexplain mechanics and more, which I went to many times. Overall, I'd say the repetitive actions and other issues I had with the game take away 2 points from the overall score. However, the story, characters, world and how they all come together massively outdo my gripes with the game. Even with things that I hate present in this game, it's still a 9/10 for me. Games, movies, books-- stories rarely make me tear up. At least 5 separate times, this story made me cry. I am not going to spoil a word of the story.
To summarize:
-Overall score: 9/10
-Cons:
Long runtime
Grindy gameplay loop
-Pros:
Phenomenal story
Easily investable characters and world
-Approx game time: ~50 hours
-Buggy?:
The game only crashed on me a single time, right near the end.
Really, even if you don't much care for rpgs, if you like stories, this is one of the best.

A very good shooter game, and from what I've heard it holds up when compared to old doom games. It's a great game to just shoot ♥♥♥♥ in.

Early Access Review
Not as good as PUBG, but if you got this before it and can't afford a better game, this one is good enough until you get the $30 to just buy PUBG instead of this garbage heap. I don't really reccomend this game, because you can't buy KOTK and Just survive together anymore, and PUBG is like the more successful, younger brother compared to H1z1.

CS:GO Review
CS:GO is a pretty fun game, although difficult and or just plain frustrating at times. It really makes my day when I play a single competetive match and win easily, because of going up against newly starting players, or just unfortunate ones, with my team full or profesionals. When it's the other way around, and the opposite team is full of "smurfs", say players whom went almost directly from Global Elite, all the way back down to Silver 1, or 2, or just Unranked, and my team is just Trolls, and or noobs, I get just a tiny bit of a hint of unhappyness. The smurfs most likely were in the same situation as me, going against either hackers or players who have over 1000 hours on the game, trying their hardest to win and using very cheap tactics. Even with those unfair odds, which caused me to derank with just a single loss, my least favorite part about the game is that you can get a competitive match cooldown from simply kicking a player who doesn't want a penalty as well, from leaving the match before it has finished. I have gotten 3 instances of a week's cooldown from doing exactly this, and a single 24 hour cooldown from doing it. I honestly would not reccomend kicing any player ever for any reason, no matter what, if you even decide to waste your money on this game and it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ skins.
