You could punch yourself in the junk repeatedly for several minutes and it would still be a better experience than playing this game in its current state.

Man...I remember playing this game for hours as a kid with my dad.
He passed away in 2016 from cancer.

With over 600+ hours clocked I can confidently say that this is one of my top played games. I've never played the previous editions of the Monster Hunter franchise so I had no idea what to expect when I started the game up for the first time. Soon I found myself addicted to the unique combat system they managed to implement with the differing playstyles of the countless different weapons you can use. There's something for everyone in terms of how you want to play the game. Catering from the ranged DPS ranger archetype to the beefy tank that wants to be right up against the monster's face, this game lets the player enjoy a plethora of gameplay options.

With the addition of Iceborne we received even MORE monster subspecies and different combo/attack options for every weapon. This game just keeps expanding on what it already knows that it's good at and the future looks brighter with every patch introducing more and more of the content that consoles obviously get first dibs on for this type of franchise.

If you're into an action oriented RPG where the gameplay is pretty much comprised of huge boss rushes, then you should definitely give this game a try.
