I remember always wanting to play Amazing Spider-Man 2 on Windows 7 as a kid but coming from a lower income household my parents could never afford it. I was pretty excited when they bought me a pirated DVD to install and play it but sadly it never worked out. Growing up now the excitement has mostly faded away and although Insomniac's Spider-Man wasn't able to help me relive that feeling, it pretty much encapsulates everything I ever wanted in a Spider-Man game.

The open-world experience was so addicting. Surprisingly, it's very well optimized for PC and even my Steam Deck. Seriously this has to be one of the best ports of a game I've ever played. The cinematic execution and storytelling were breathtaking and I loved every chapter the main campaign had to offer. The side quests on the other hand can become repetitive and boring after a while, but at least for me that only happened far in NG+. I still love swinging around the city and fighting baddies along the way even after having Fast Travel unlocked. Extremely Recommended!

Your review resonated with me. Had the same experience. Coming from poverty and seeing friends and other family enjoying the videos games I so much wanted to experience myself was tough, but it gave me a higher level of appreciation for what I have today.
